Are whoops good for a bike?

Got me thinking how rough whoops are and how the tire slaps that fender and if bikes are really made for whoops? Seems like whoops are so hard on a bike.

Whoops are very hard on crankshafts. Thats what JBone told my Dad and I when he was bubbas wrench. He said the load and unload on the engine would cause crank bearings to fail
