Serious question here, how many different boot colorways can a company like aplinestar, fox, sidi, etc..be selling. I have took notice to how many special edition boots i've seen on the market, and wonder how each compnay can create sales. I wish I had the extra cash laying around to pick up a new set of boots every 6 months, but i think the reality for most non-sponsored riders is we ride boots till the grave.

I have understood that Alpinestars sells out almost all of their "LE" boots.

I say "LE" because they have only a few "normal" colorways, especially with their Tech 10 boots. I think the only new for 2018 non LE Tech 10 boot is the one i bought a few months ago(orange/flo/blue).

Even the LE's i think are kind being produced in absurd #'s. I went to aplinestars site and counted the nubmer of LE boots between 10's and 7's and they have 16 different pairs, on top of the noraml colorways.

Now some on these were rollovers from last year, but they are still pumping out new boots like the black/goldsh brown ones that recently came out.

I wanted to buy the white/orange/blue(Indianapolis LE boot) Tech 10 LE boot from last year and it sold out in zero time, at least here in the Scandinavian countries.

But you have to remember that lots of the boots on Alpinestars site are old. I think you can find the Tomac replicas on the site but good luck with actually finding a set.

Edit: The Indianapolis boot is still on their site but it is sold out, same with the Tomac boots.

All of those unsold special editions make for some great bargains at RM, MS, BTO, MotorcycleCloseouts and BikeBandit.

We have a supplier that has them in stock! My son loves them but he wears a 13 in Alpinestars, LE stuff only comes in sizes 8-12!

I'd imagine Alpinestars does sell quite a bit because, in my experience, they tend to wear out quickly and the soles are not easily replaceable like some other brands. I bet people just opt to buy new boots entirely vs spending $100-150 to get them resoled.

You're just not seeing it from the *after* perspective.

After you frame something and you're off work hobbling around on crutches, would you pay $400 to be healed up again? Then the better boots would've been worth it.

I agree though that $600 is ridiculous. look at some TCX, forma, or Fly sectors to find something black and white and affordable with a hinge and hyper-extension stops.

In the future the LE Alpinestars boots will be made in much smaller quantities. I think they just made too many versions in quick succession so they are pumping the brakes a little.

I'd like to buy a new pair of boots as mine are getting pretty old. However, it's hard to go backwards! I can't find any boots that are as lite, flexible, and protective as my Jetts. I wish someone would buy the Jett product line and remanufacture them in their name. JT$/Fly....get on this!!!!!!!!!
I've tried them all on and they suck compared to the Jetts Sad

Buy boots in spring. Use them for the year. Sell them in fall for 70% of their new price.

Costs me 75-100 a year to have new high end boots.

Just got these TLD Tech 7’s

Yes, they are. Hell of a lot cheaper than medical bills if you crush an ankle or heel

Just got these same boots and was amazed at how comfortable they are right out of the box! I usually buy Tech 10's, but got 7's to save a little cash. Think i will be sticking with 7's from now on. Seem to be holding up well!

My point being and entry level boot compaired to a premium boot?!? Apples to oranges... that extra $400 spent on 10’s or crossfires is well spent in my opinion

Just bought sidi crossfires because they have replaceable wear panels.
So technically I can have most of their color ways just by changing panels.

I’ve wondered the same thing. Speaking of boots I’ve been in love with Fox Instincts for years. I’ve tried other boots like the SG-12 but always go back to Instincts. I have some new Tech 7’s on the way. I had the older Tech 7 but they were way too stiff. I’m hoping these are nice.

I just bought a pair of Sidi Crossfire 3 SRS boots and a pair of Gaerne SG12 boots. The Sidi boots showed up last Thursday, the Gaerne this last Tuesday. I’m excited to try them out! I’ve been wearing Alpinestars since I got involved with this hobby about 17 years ago. It was time to try something different. I didn’t know which one to go with, soooooo, I got both. It’ll be interesting (to me) to see how these stack up against my Tech 10’s.

After going to tech 10s from sg12s. The sg12s are far superior. The tech 10s feel clunky and stiff with no feel.

Cant wait to burn out these tech 10s and then go back to gaernes

If you allow yourself time in the SIDI’s to get used to the advantages of the sleek narrow SRS sole, any thing else will feel like you’re wearing clown shoes.

I just bought TECH 10s for $344.00 form MC-POWERSPORTS on ebay. They are based out of Michigan. I had SG12's for 8 years and now my dad is wearing them. I havent ridden in the A-Stars yet but I love the way my feet feel secure just walking around in them.
