Against federal law for alcohol or tobacco companies to advertise in areas directed toward minors. Thats why Camel was dropped. Not sure on the Bud Light deal, the alcohol laws were changed later than tobacco but not sure when.

I remember a couple years ago it was the budlight fast lap for outdoors. AC92 won it as a minor. I thought it was pretty funny.

Positively, absolutely 110% obsessed with anything MOTO.

Yes they can, there are restrictions on the athlete age on the team though. When Jagermeister was the KTM sponsor, they couldn’t have the logo on a bike if the rider was under age.

They had the Pabst team in arenacross a few years ago.

In France it's a big no go, but in other countries I haven't seen restrictions. Only on smoke sponsors.

A few F1 teams have big alcohol sponsors, and they have to design different liveries without the sponsor when they travel into countries that have stricter restrictions on booze.

I’ve always wondered why no Beer sponsor in MX for the last couple years. I understand why, but you would think it’s a prime market? Everyone I know and ride with that’s over 21 drinks beer. laughing

MDK had Jagermeister. The only issue is that all riders on the team have to be over 21.

The rules have gotten extremely strict for both alcohol and tobacco companies since the 90s when Camel and Coors were all over the sport.

I heard that during the McGrath/Budlight deal they wouldn’t sponsor anyone under 25 and it affected potential teammates.

Let's hand it to the creators of "Joe Camel" for the most flagrant subliminal phallic imagery in the history of advertising.

How about weed delivery services? I wonder what happens when a weed shop sponsors a national rider?

It's impossible for a corporation or government to love you or care about you.
