I know, like telling the world how unprofessional it is when a rider kicks his bike off the stands when hes mad about not making the main event after spending his own money, driving across the country while not knowing the cameras were pointed at him in the pits while he was by himself.

If he spent his own money and then kicked his bike off the stand damaging it more and costing him more money....I'd say that's pretty dumb and his dad agreed.

For this thread, it's cool to see that man not giving up something he loves.

I'm not really sure what the point of this thread was, but is that an above the knee amputation? Does this guy ride that bike?

I only ask because my Dad recently lost his right leg above the knee and is keen to get back into riding his street bike.

Has he bought a (fully Restored!) bike off Craig list only to find that the previous owner has welded the sump plug in after stripping the thread?

What the picture doesn't say is that he is trying to change the spark plug.

Look's like my friend BobbyM re-enacting that scene from "On any Sunday" where the guy set's his bike on fire in the desert, with that smoke under bike!

I ride with a right leg amputation, with great advantage because it is below knee. The first day I recieveid a prosthesis, a year and 3 months after my radical amputation in which my leg was ripped off, I snuck my KZ1000 out of the shed pushed it down the hill a hundred yards from the house and rode off into the sunset. I had to build a custom brake pedal with the foot pad 3 inches higher. The first time I went to the drag strip I couldn't figure out why my ET's were so far off and the front end kept slamming down after evey shift/wheelie. Turns out I was riding with the rear brake on, so I raised the pad. I have rode many bikes YZ250/125/80, RM125, kx60, crf50's. The funniest story I was riding my sons first bike a JR50 and had just put chain and sprockets on it. I forgot to adjust the brakes, took it down the road for a test run. When I hit the back brake it went way low, my toe hit the pavement and sucked my leg off cartwheeling it over my head and in front of me. There was a construction crew building a new house that saw it happen, lot's of hoots and hollers.

I wish I had the picture... My buddies dad made the sports section in the Seattle times with a nice big picture of him. He also has a prosthetic leg and race(d) motocross. His prosthetic leg started falling off in the middle of the race. So here is this picture in the middle of the sports section of this man racing MX with his leg dangling off.. Sorta had to be there, but pretty funny Smile

If Jay was a real friend, he would tell Bobby that bikes come with a kickstand. Bobby's gonna get real tired holding that thing up all night.
