When I raced both 125 and 250 two-strokes last year, I would always be more excited about taking that 125 off the stand and hitting the track. Now, the only times I want to ride a bigger bike are in deep sand or mud.

I hear ya. I rode WW in Florida around xmas. Unfortunately it rained the night before and it was pretty deep and rutty. But since we took our motorhome I had to leave my trailer at home and only take my 450.

My 125 would've been torture for me out there that day. But then again, I'm 62 with diminishing skills. lol

2003 YZ167 from RPM's with 2008 suspension. Most fun bike I've ever owned.

Go watch Bar to Bar 2003 125 season... That racing will make any one want a 125.

I went from a RM85, 2007 CR125, then a 2006 RM250 and then got my self a brand new KX250f. Most regretful decision was to sell the 125. If your a half decent rider and can grew up racing and watching 2 strokes. there is nothing better then getting on a 125 and feel like your JS259 hahaha

I quit racing in 2011, and have owned 450’s off and on since then. The pressure to ride 100% like you used to is there every time on a 450.

I like the handicap that 125’s give you. It brings it back to where it all started, fun!

With that said, I’m in the market for a 06+ yz125 in SoCal area. Time to get back at the track.

If you find any that are blown up, send them my way! I’m looking for an 02+

Yes, not as fun racing against 250F's unless you are a 10 times better rider than the guy on a thumper.

No. I had 125s until my last bike, which was a 250F. I didn't adapt well. But I do remember riding a 125 shortly afterward and completely blowing a corner with no engine braking. I'm actually looking for the perspective of people who grew up riding four strokes, and/or had only ridden a four stroke for a long time before riding a 125 (again).
I went from an 85 to a 250f and was on 4 strokes for years until I picked up a kx125 a couple of years ago and I have been slowly building on this thing and It is my favorite bike by far. Of course my 450 and 250f are easier to ride but the 125 keeps me grinning the whole time.

Bought an 04 CR125 right before Christmas rebuilt it over the last 5 months, rode it last weekend and i haven’t had that much fun riding in a while! Makes it more fun when your buds all bring their 125’s too! I’m 6’0 and 200lbs as well, have ridden 450’s for years with a couple 250 2 strokes strung in there.

Where do you get this plastic kit? I've seen this look on a lot of CRs lately.

Polisport restyle kit! They make 3 colors of it now, stock, black and white.

Huh? That’s the fun part. Unless you are really that proud of the plastic trophy you bring home.
