Bought an arai off ebay in size large for a deal, i wear an xl moto 9 but i figured id be dialed because the bell fits perfect and they run a little small from my experience.

Anyways it fits good around the top of my head but i cant close my mouth without biting my cheeks.

Looked for thinner cheekpads but can only find streetbike stuff. Anyone know if they make these for moto. ?

They do. Go to a shop. But put 5 or so rides in before you spend the cash. Arai loosens up a lot from my experience.

Edit: ask the parts guy for the Tucker Rocky book

What part of the world are you in? I'm on mobile, so it doesn't show location. Like was already stated, you can order different size cheek pads. I bought thicker ones. I've got the stock ones out of my xl I'd be happy to send your way if that'd help.

So glad you posted this because I am about to do the same except I normally wear a med bell moto 9 and found a brand new arai pro 4 small on ebay for a smoking deal. Looks like cheek pads go for 35-40$ unless you can find some elsewhere

There's actually 1 or 2 street helmets that actually use the same pads.
Not to kill the whole "buy local" thing but I've ordered a little bit from these guys... http://www.theservicepavilion.com/store/c122/Interior_Padding.html

There's places where you can find some for a few bucks cheaper but these guys have so much in stock, ready to go and are so big into Arai that it's worth a couple of bucks to me.

Here's some valuable Arai info for anyone who may not know...

XS and Small use the same shell.
Medium and Large use the same shell.
XL and XXL use the same shell.

So, you can purchase a Medium and truly convert it to Large with different thickness cheek pads/liner. But yes, even though the shells are different, with different pads you can still make an XL fit more like an L, or vice versa.

If you have a newer one, pull the cover off the cheek pads and peel a layer off the foam. I used to slice them myself, but the new ones have pads that you can peel a 5mm layer off each side.
