I'm bummed for him. He was flying in practice, and fast in moto 1 before that weird crash. He definitely landed hard on his shoulder.

If he wasn't hurt in that get off I'd be very surprised.
Adrenaline carried him to the finish in Moto 1 and pain relief in Moto 2.

I hope not and I doubt it. I think he got a stern talking to behind closed doors after moto 1. There was no need to push like he was, kinds reminds me of James Stewart...fast as f##k until he crashes.

That track was pretty beat up in moto 2 and Adam looked uncomfortable. Most likely survival mode, regroup and reset for next weekend.

I was thinking the same thing after the 1st moto. His speed at the 1st of the moto reminded me of JS7. He has to ride a bit more controlled and stop with the crazy crashes.

Looks like Kawi’s decision to bench him for the last three months was pretty dumb. That’s like benching a basketball player all season, then throwing him into the fourth quarter of a playoff game and expecting him to play well. Not in race shape.

Definitely would not have felt good on the collarbone.

RXI said before the race: We also learned things like Adam Cianciarulo’s collarbone injury still is bothering him slightly after they plated it close to his neck, and he still experiences some soreness from time to time

I was wondering if he didn't also have Loretta's DNF in his head from last year that cost him the title. Maybe decided to calm down for the day and just get points. Hoping if it is an injury it'll heal within the week

Whatever happened, it sure was a big turnaround. He goes from being untouchable in Moto 1 to trying to fend off guys with three digits in Moto 2.

He messaged on IG that he broke his shifter off the first moto and it went to shit after that (Maybe it messed with his head etc in that second moto). I suspect there were lots of jitters to work through after so much time away from racing? We have seen this from guys like Eli who pump up etc. Interesting to see if he can duplicate that glimpse of speed, keep it on two wheels and just go out hit his marks for a whiole moto. He should be no stranger to wins but it's been awhile...

How many times can you crash with a lead and still "need a break"? I like AC, but at some point you've gotta accept that he likes to fold with the lead.

He said in a recent video that the plate in his collarbone is a hinderance its close to his neck and causes soreness and he plans to get it out as soon as possible after the MX nationals end.

Wouldn't surprise me. That crash definitely took him by surprise and he slammed the ground pretty hard without rolling with it or lessening the impact at all. Hope he's alright though. It definitely affected him in moto 2.
