Hand crank pump or syphon pump. Staight into tank if you like that sort of thing, straight into fuel jug for mixing with oil if you dont.Smile

Pour into a funnel, but have the opening between 9-11 o’clock

It's an age old problem and it's hard to believe that whoever makes the various containers used in liquid transfer can't make one that pours without waste, gets me well pissed off at work.

How did you manage to open it? The last batch of VPT4 I got came in the same (previous was more consumer friendly). I simply did not manage to open it (have no purpose built wrench for the cap, apparently it exists), so what I do is pump out the gas into another canister from the ventilation hole on the opposite side (can't see if yours has such, it's about half the size of the big opening that you have opened).

Use a funnel and top pour it with the spout at the top instead of the bottom. Rest the spout on the funnel as you’re pouring it to reduce wasting any fuel. Easiest way if you have no other options.

I put my large VP plastic gas tank on the ground then flipped this guy on top of it and let it empty out on it's own. I spilled maybe 1/4 cup...it took awhile since there was no air vent but it wasn't bad. Make sure not to do this inside the garage unless you like a contact high.

You need a California specific CARB regulation no vapor releasing sealed nozzle that pours the gas all over your bike, the ground and your leg and effectively ensures absolutely non of it goes into your gas tank.

What if I told you they design the containers for convenient and efficient storage

That’s the ticket. Spout as high as possible works for most asymmetric containers. It’s how oil quart containers are designed to be poured too.

Same 2" threads as a Jerry can?

Syphon works well. I use this even for VP cans that have a spout. You can do it without spilling a drop. I place the can on the garage counter and a normal plastic fuel jug on the ground and you can empty the can in 2 minutes.

Beat me to it. I use one of these and suction the whole 5 gallons into an Eagle safety can.

Stick one end of a small 3/8” rubber hose in the fuel can, use a rag around the hose where it enters the can to make it somewhat air tight. Use you air tool to pressurize the can around the rag. The fuel will flow out the rubber hose about as fast as you want it to.
