For patellar tendon issues I had it. Only thing that worked

He broke his pelvis snow boarding on a large drop - could barely walk after he was "healed"
Says the PRP changed his life - he is fully active now and back to riding and boarding.
I think it's like anything else - can work amazing for some and nothing for others.
The stem cell stuff discussed on rogan's podcast has me intrigued - i'd love to give that a go
For those wondering. Pilon fractured my tibia. 4 plates and about 22 screws 1 year ago. Healing has basically slowed to nothing and Ortho said I would probably be better off with a fused ankle (Last option for me). Thinking PSP will help as cortisone injections feel gteat for about 1 week.
Saturday morning. Limping was reduced to about 10 steps first thing and evening swelling was reduced by about 20%. Only pain throughout the day was where injections were on the outside of the ankle.
Sunday morning. Limping reduced to about 5 steps. Evening swelling reduced about another 10%. Still a little touch pain at injection points.
Monday morning. Limping about two to 3 steps. Evening swelling down another 5% and very close to what it is when I initially wake up. Injection point pain almost null.
Tuesday morning (today) limp completely gone. Pain gone. Will check evening swelling later but the outlook is very positive only being 4 days in. Thus far the cost vs these 4 days of relief and mental state have been worth every penny. Can’t wait for the end result after the 4 weeks for follow up. In saying that, I’ll more than likely opt for a second round for mental insurance purposes to assure that my ankle is the best that it can be given it’s condition.
Pretty sure this treatment may have been able to save some lives (spiraling out of control due to pain management) and don’t know why this is not done at some interval post injury/surgery. Pretty sure this could have help my recovery and ability to fully perform my job months ago.
Edit: Not sure why the cost. Treatment is very quick and non evasive.
Stay tuned!
My attorney retired there and 2 doctors in his building had it done in lieu of knee replacement and elbow surgery.

I'm seriously thinking about postponing the surgery and trying the injections first. Anyone have any results with stem cells?
My buddy destroyed his hip in a flat track race. Got PRP done and said it helped out a ton for about 6 months. Could barely put his shoe on in the morning and now he’s mountain biking out in Colorado every weekend.
The doctors I talked to about my toe told me the PRP might fix my toe. But the stem cells will for sure fix my toe. Therefore I went stem cells.
Be sure to shop around if you go the stem cell route. Some places are $8k, $4k, and I finally found one that wanted to actually help me (I’m 28) and charged me $2.5k. Definitely do your research and asked where they get them and how they extract them. MAKE SURE ITS FDA APPROVED IF ITS IN THE USA UNLESS THEY CAN HARVEST THEM. These places love talking to someone that’s half informed on the subject and shows interest. One place I sat down with that was $4k couldn’t even tell me the places name that they get the stem cells. I thought that was super sketchy. That’s like asking someone where they bought their dirt bike and they don’t know.

The umbilical cord stem cells rejuvenate faster then the hip ones. I’d do the umbilical cord for $2500. That’s what I did for my toe
Glad to hear it's working for you. With Osteoarthritis in my knees I'll probably eventually be looking at knee replacement, which is complicated by a rod and screws in the way on one from a prior tib/fib break. In the meantime, the doc was advising cortisone shots as a next step, but hearing they may only help for a few days is downright frightening.

Jimmy Epolito was the guy who I asked all the questions too. Knew all of his stuff.
Sarah and Barry did the physical evaluation and Sarah did the injections.
If you send me a message I'll give you my full name you can use as a reference. (hopefully they'll cut you a deal and likewise for me for referring people). I'll use them in the future if anything happens again.
I cant ever get the pm's to work on here but my if you want to send me one with your info when I call them I use you as a reference. Thanks
