I feel like I'm betraying a best friend or something by posting this...but I am completely over riding videos these days. It's like sensory over-load and complete lack or originality in virtually all riding videos out there. I haven't been able to watch a complete riding video in a long time because they are all the same...

And I'm talking about everything from the "Kawasaki testing", or James Stewart free ride" video you'll find on RacerX films or TWMX...to Moto4 (I literally fell asleep during that video, and I watched the first 3 a dozen times each)...its all just the same old stuff....totally boring.

Some one please tell me I'm not the only one that feels this way?

I'm the opposite, I prefer straight-up practice lap videos to just about anything else.

The only ones I really watch are the old ones that were made in the late 90's, early 2000's. The original Crusty's. MotoXXX's, Disturbing the Peace, Terrafirma's, etc........Those were all good and watchable multiple times. The good music in those didn't hurt either.

I'm over slo-mo, its badass but over used. IMO slo-mo should be used to highlight a specific second or two of immortal behavior (scrub, bar drag, crazy save) then immediately resume to real speed. Watching the entrance to a corner, the start of the corner, the bar drag, then bring back upright, the exit, the shift, is about as fun as reading that at the pace of a 2nd grader. Besides that i just think the badass techniques that were once used are now equal playing field for everyone so everything is seeming the same. I think in the next few years some new flavor will arise from some young blood, hopefully.

I can't finish em. I watch em for a bit, but it's just not the same as seeing it in person. And they do get extremely repetitive, that doesn't help either. But yeah, I feel ya.

Also my fav, NO music, NO editing, 1 camera following a rider on the track, it makes you feel like you are standing on the side of the track watching the rider. I want to hear the bike! every single blip of the throttle, when he is on it, how hard he charges into corners. You cant get any of that w/ music in a video. The K.I.S.S principle.

I'm over anything less than top pros posting helmet cam vids. Every clown seems to have one now. Other than that, some vids are still way cool, especially the higher-rez stuff. That goes not only for porn but also SX/MX.

I'd be interested in knowing how old you guys are. I definitely think it's the older crowd (35+) that is starting to feel that way. It's a generational thing...

No shit, every time I go to the track the majority of people have GoPro's or something. I'm going to start doing a bunch of weird shit when I ride now just to see if I end up on youtube. I'm going to stand on my seat around the track or sit backwards for a few laps or something........maybe ride naked. I'll figure something good out.

23, there still are plenty of sick videos being made but it just seems like a lot of average videos are being released. people need to search out the Gnar, Justin Barcia platinum, Jimmy D 125, Ronnie Mac Raw, Rude Boyz... More of that, less of Ryan Dungey type of riders who's most exciting body language is rippin a tear off.

Hold on a minute...35+ is considered the "older crowd"? OUCH! Smile

I'm just barely 32...

And as have been mentioned...top pro helmet cams I can watch (especially with no music or editing)...videos with no music and no editing I can watch...But that is about it.

This is a recent favorite of mine because they mounted the GoPros on the side of the helmet. Seems like the perfect happy medium between the top of the helmet mount and the chest mount. I dig it a lot.

I'm 50. I dig a lot of the new stuff...of pros. But the local jackwipes on the track with their Go Pro's drive me nuts. I see them all over the slopes, too. Jeezus.....

About the only Go Pro I'm looking forward to is what Torco cooks up....as long as he keeps his clothes on!

If it's good, I like riding vids alot.

To me, people are way overdoing effects/pseudo filters/etc trying to either stand out because the content is the same old, or just for the sake of doing. IMO, you shouldn't notice the post work.

i'll watch (and fap to) anything with dubstep and a ton of slow motion. so pretty much every "edit" put out these days.

gone are the days of interesting videography and great music.

Same here for both. If all Motocross videos from here on out were just raw with zero editing, no music, and a good quality camera, I'd be fine with that.

I know it's not moto but that Redbull Wakeskate in the Cranberry Bog is one of the best action sports videos I've seen in a while...

Kinda funny, I was just thinking how cool it is that so many teams are doing this now. Something to fill the void. I'm 40..

LOL, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to post my slow, silly, amateur, GoPro riding video from this weekend. Tehe
