We are planning on going to Gatorback for the first round of the Winter Series 3-4 Jan (providing the conditions will be decent). Anyone else going? Practice on Saturday and race Sunday. We went last year and it was a lot of fun.
Broke my leg there new year's eve 89/90 when a t storm blew up and a huge gust blew the bike from under me.
There were singles as you rounded the spectator mound headed back toward parking area before the track goes 90 left. I landed crossed and swapped over to the left hitting the post 2 back from the corner,lauched me up over the fence and i almost cleared the edge and went to the bottom of the pit. Tried denial of my leg,picked up in 12th charged back to 5th ,lucky the fib didnt go tbruthe skin.
Brown and watts loaded my trailer and i took a tent pole wrapped with duct tape to push the clutch in on the van,drove to hospital.
