I was talking to Ralph yesterday and seems like he is waiting to hear as well.
Anyone heard anything?

on a serious note, I'm curious to see how this plays out. For the past ten years people and b****** and moaned over petty live broadcasting issues. The lack of gratitude was astonishing. If we lose live coverage people are going to have a meltdown.
I hope we get a similar or better show than we have had in the past. It would really be a blow to the sport if TV coverage went away.
The NBS Sports Gold app even works well when I try to rewind the programming. It quickly rewinds and resumes, compared to my Netflix apps that make a 10-second rewind turn into a 45-second process.
I'm hoping it stays as is. I doubt they go subscription only. Supercross has been trending upwards in ratings. That would def cut the mainstream viewer. Personally, what I would like is to keep the normal broadcast (yes, I wish it would not cater to the newbie so much) but then bring back the audio webcast for the diehards with Weege and Holley or maybe Blair and Holley. The audio webcast was just so much more thorough and detailed coverage. I would do both!
But I know that is a long shot. Still, most sports have radio or audio coverage and it is often better coverage due to the fact that it IS for the diehard fans.
As far as the broadcast, I don't think it is the TV people that are the issue more than it is just the segments and layout of the show, production wise. They really need to go back and look at the Eckman/Bailey/Coombs shows from ESPN and mimic those more. Yeah, I know they were tape delayed but I'd much rather have mic'ed mechanics and Honda stopwatch than dumb ass tweets and Makeup to Mud. But it's all about what the sponsors want. But still, just watch those old broadcasts. Those are your blueprints.

I guess you just got to ask yourself, would I rather be able to just walk out to the garage and fire up the bike to go for a ride OR would I rather just stay inside, jerk off to HD streamed porn and play COD virtually lag free. Easy decision for me.
I enjoy watching it live from my couch...parking is free, beer is cheaper, and I have a pause and rewind button on the remote. I just hope live broadcasts continue to be available no matter who ends up airing it.
But otherwise I agree that a lot of the complaints I have about the broadcast are because they are producing it to try to get interest from the casual fan.
Here's where something like the NBC Sports app would be great. I would pay $50/year to watch an alternate broadcast that was produced for the hardcore fan who follows the sport closely.
