There was no way he was going to hit the #35.

You're right.
19 podiums including 6 wins is horrible for JMart. Not to mention 3rd place in the series for 250 east three different times.
I bet 98% of the dudes he lined up against Saturday night wish they sucked as bad as him.....

Not trying to open old wounds but after watching the replay over and over I am thinking it was not a choice for Jmart at all. It appears to me he simply lost traction. That corner you had to be totally hooked to make the jump. So much for he is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.
