Hope for some good news about Jesse. I blew my T1 into 4 pieces just over a year ago. Still on the mend. It is a long process.

I fractured my T5,6,7 back in the day and while I still live in pain, I was able to walk away...

I don't even know Jessy , and this thread has choked me up a bit. Always really dug his strait forward personality and so forth when they interview him. Seems like such an awesome kid. To read about what he's going through just sucks! Stay strong Jessy , and I'm hoping you make a 100% comeback on this!

I got this update from a family friend of the Nelsons about an hour ago.

"An update on Jessy from his Mom today. Let's all continue to pray.
Good morning, we are hanging in there. No real changes , the plan is today to get him off the self administered drugs and just on oral pain meds so we can head home to enter a rehabilitation center. Thank you for your support and prayers."

Jessy is on our prayer list,my daughter is really torn up as Jessy is one of her favorite riders.

She did a charcoal sketch and put it on instagram ,they saw it and now follow her. Made her so happy today.

Not sure if you guys can see it,have no idea how it works,but it is pretty awsome.

A lot of my thoughts are with him and I'm really REALLY hoping it's just the swelling but MAN it's really bummed me out! Just so shit to know what he and his family are going through I would love to get through to him it gets better, still sucks if I'm honest but doesn't suck nearly as much as I thought it would! I say wish I could get through to him because I know that just telling him now won't make a difference, someone tried to tell me and I wanted to punch him in the face haha.. Another thing that's killing me is you rely on your hand structure to push your chair and transfer and all that and I can see that Jessy's lack of thumb could cause further problems if the worst case plays out!

But hopefully the positive vibes heading his way will bring the best case scenario

Jessy has really been on my mind since I saw that clip they showed in the Budds Creek broadcast of him lying there. I have been offline and don't know if there has been discussion of this. Showing that moment on TV was brutal. I don't really understand why they thought that was appropriate.
How does this happen just going through a turn? It is scary. I hope with all my being that this kid ends up with a happy and fulfilling life, no matter the outcome.

Have been following this since the accident and hope the best for Jessy and the Nelson family.

On the same weeked as Jessy's accident a local kid here was hanging out with his friends at a local lake pier and dove into the water and floated to the surface basically in the same condition as Jessy. His condition remains the same as well.

Best wishes to Nelson family on Jessy's recovery. Still thinking about it often with a heavy heart. Like many of you, I know way too many people personally that were never able to recover. Two of which were fellow competitors that I've raced since our 60cc days and two of the fastest guys in the state. It's such a shame. Holding out hope that Jessy makes a full recovery and can live his life to the fullest, whether it be on or off the bike.
