Any unique or cool things to do with empty VP cans besides crush and recycle?

I have several piling up in the garage. I use 1 for used oil and take it to be recycled. I cut the lid off of one and use it for a trash can in my office..... Any other uses for them?

I used them to make shelves once.
Set them on the ground 4 fert apart. Lay a wire shelf or even some wood across them them another set of cans and a second shelf. Functional and cheap.

I cut the tops off and use as garage cans in the shop, also use one to hold all my rags.

It's unfortunate that they are so wasteful and VP doesn't recycle them.

Does your office smell like race gas? I would assume it takes a while for the fuel smell to go away..

I have a personal use for 6-10 non-dented intact cans. Personal garage project for 4 grandkids riding. Wish you were closer to NWGA.
Willing to pay $3 each for GA local 5 gallon VP cans. Thanks anyone.

Sell them on craigslist. I sold three last year.

I generally jut use them as gas cans for the lawn mower / weed eater.

Couldn't smell any worse than how it comes stock. MR12 is potent shit no matter where it's stored!

I give all mine to a guy at work who puts used oil in them for his oil burner.

No. I just rinsed them out well with water before I cut the top off with a pair of hand shears. Folded the top over with a pair of pliers. Worked great and looks cool. The stool idea is a great one. I will make one for my brother for Christmas....

Man. I think I have one more extra can. I am going to convert it to a garbage can eventually. Thank you for the idea and instructions.
