They take it out. That's why there's no separation these days.

The two wall jumps at the sand section yesterday were being done as a big double by the top guys. First thing I said was, well thatll be changed before tomorrow.

It’s BS. Do you think teams complain about it not being fair or too dangerous or something?

I mean I can’t think of any other reason why. Same with whoops every week. Big gnarly whoops that get knocked down by race day.

Then they complain about viewership when the whole race is basically decided by a start usually.

Yea, when was the last time there was a track that everyone did not make all the jumps. Back the hp down so only the best can get the drive to make it.

The trick here , is to not bust anything out on press day.

A few times I have had a killer line, and you either trust yourself to do it ,and do it once and don't pull it till the race. Its only an advantage when you are the only one doing it.

What makes you think it's a race? Just like NASCAR it's a show. Not quite on that level yet but true none the less. Emig's keys to the race, get a good start.Sideways

Luke clout did it in that clip on a 250, not sure why they changed it.

Agreed. I can understand it a local track but this is Supercross. What's the deal?

Thanks, I agree. Sucks when they tame down obstacles.

I seen a vlog on YouTube from A-Ray that showed it as well as him bringing it to the track builders attention.

I don't get the "too dangerous" part. These guys are pros. They know their limits. This isn't a track that 250 C guys are gonna go out and try to do dumb shit on.

I guess that's why guys like Reed love when the whoops are big. They used to have to ride them regardless, and they got good at them. Now all it takes is a top level team manager to complain about the whoops because their guy can't do them and they knock them down. Everything is just made so that everyone can do them. Then we wonder why the 250 and 450 lap times are the same.

That is badass. The teams must complain because they don’t want their riders that they are paying millions of dollars to get hurt which would then piss off the sponsors.

Vital: SX is too dangerous and there is no representation for rider safety

Vital: We need gnarly shit to separate the men from boys

Why would you want the racers separated? Isn't close bar to bar racing better?

If you left that as is it would have made a potential passing zone into a one-lined freight train.

Man , that double was pretty badass.....why would they remove it , unless maybe quite a few riders didn't like it?

It wasn't sketchy at all from what I saw. A lot of guys doing it super clean.

250s seemed to be doing it fairly easy too. Potentially sketchy on the first lap and probably blind if some aren't doing it, but that could be said of most combination jumps. I don't get it?

It wasn't even sketchy. These guys could handle it. But I get it. That's the way society is now. If not everyone can handle it, we get rid of it. Just like the participation trophies.

I'll be damned, Lil Ricky just said "that's why I love this track, there's not much separating the riders, makes for great racing."

There's a reason why Toronto 2014 was one of the most exciting races ever. James Stewart was able to show his skill gap in a long rhythm section and put on the performance he did. Or Daytona when he was able to do the wall jump that nobody else did. Now days, if he did that in practice, they'd cut the damn thing down. I don't know about you guys, but I like seeing these guys show off their talent. But if most of you guys like watching races where the start determines the winner, then so be it.

Maybe to keep lap times up? But that's a stretch of a reason

I haven’t watched in a while, but it’d be interesting to see and look at the lap chart to track everyone else. I think I remember the pack being quite drawn out that race.

It looks to me the jump was fine but it made the sand irrelevant as they jumped in with so much speed. Probably no one complained or anyone scared of it, just an attempt to make the effort of making a sand section relevant.
