Lolll you were on a roll....aaaand then you said Roczen. For real... Ken Roczen.. I love the fire people have in here where they just wanna rip on other people so hard and are so blinded by rage that they will just black out and literally throw out factory Hondas #1 rider as an example of someone whos never ridden a Honda.... Holy hell what is going on right now. Ken Roczen ladies and gentlemen.

Not only was the OP probably the dumbest thread of all time because clearly theres tons of riders that never have so I dont even know what the hell hes even talking about. Scratch that nobody does. But then its suuuch a ridiculous topic that you literally got somebody to say that KEN ROCZEN has never riden a Honda because he was so thrown off by how stupid of a thread this was that you literally fried the poor guys brain on the spot. Hopefully hes ok and hes not in a cold shower right now rocking back and forth just saying Ken Roczen over and over because you blew a fuse in his brain. Pastrana has never even won a big bike main event. Most people don't know this fact, think about that... He is undoubtably the most overrated racer (mx,sx) of all time, sorry. Its indisputable, he hasn't won 1 single main event, not 1, in his entire career. He wasn't as talented or in shape- hes the first to say he wasn't in shape, as the other (racers) and it cost him big time. He has loadddds of talent on a motorcycle, just not the type conducive of RACING successfully.... and it caught up to him big time. Because of his short comings he would have to just go balls to the freaking walls wayyy over his head/ability to try to compete and would end up wadding himself... every time.

When it comes to purely natural all around ability on a motorcycle he is second to none, but that is not what wins races. He does not have the type of (talent) on a bike that lends itself to laying down precision laps with precision lap times. If you want someone to walk up to a random hill out in the woods and figure out a way to gap it when you just built the takeoff right there and its never been hit before.... nobody could do it better than him. When it comes to picking the best race lines, hitting those EXACT lines lap after lap with laser like precision, and laying down lap times that fall within hundreds of a second of each other.... over and over and over for 30 minutes straight and then have the fitness to do it when your deathly tired at the end of the race and still need that same precision, he aint your guy.... at all and never has been. His racing career he tried to skate by with having less fear than everybody else lol along with that random natural talent where he can just make shit happen on a bike. That can get you a championship in the 125 class... but absolutely not in the 250 class. He was doomed.. he knew it too thats why he went over to freestyle which there is nothing wrong with he was the greatest of all time over there. Its kind of unfortunate that freestyle died off and now its just back to racing again, but Im not complaining as that is the core of our sport... the grassroots.

Again Im not ripping on him he is the all around GOAT on a motorcycle when it comes to the sheer amount of record setting things he can do that nobody else can do. Its just when it comes to racing he was probably below average when your talking top level riders when it came to race ability and fitness. He tried for a few years to make up for this by just closing his eyes and pinning it and trying to just have bigger balls than everyone else, but thats never going to win a championship on the big bikes, and it didn't even win him 1 main event. So he saw the writing on the walls and he took his talents somewhere else and absolutely thrived over there and became even more of a household name than he would have racing. In that respect Im proud of him he got to have fun, become a legend, and then moved on to other sports too. Hes had a great career on motorcycles overall. Lots of injuries haha but a great career that he would have been unable to have had he stayed racing.

That's a harsh assessment of Travis' mx and sx skills. You don't get a 125 MX championship in your rookie year and back it up with an indoor title by just screwing around. The guy came into the sport at the highest level, but unfortunately his riding style did contribute to his short career. That head-pounding crash at Unadilla seems to have done him in. He saw a future as the greatest action sports rider of all time, rather than banging his head against the wall in the big bike class. It is a shame he never got a win- crazy in fact.

I actually agree with this, for the most part. He was not a refined racer. I think he would have figured it out over a full career though. Unfortunately, there is no denying injuries played a huge role. His body and head were too beat up to train full time and a short career means that we never saw what a seasoned Pastrana looked like.

But yea, he had the talent.

Blinded by rage??? Lol! Seems like you’re the one with the rage. It’s not like he’s ridden a full series in two years until the Nationals. Yes, I had a slight brain fart. How that equates to an entire biography by you, I don’t know.

This thread got me interested in Pastana's 250 (big bike) career. He finished second in his second ever race, but never won one. He went 19-2-3-2-7 in his first five starts and only cracked the top 10 twice after that- 10th place finishes in 2004 and 2005.
