I have about 50 new NGK plugs that all got wet with flood water recently. What are the chances they will still perform properly now that they are all dry?

Clean them all with contact cleaner?

I would imagine the water will corrode them if there is lingering moisture.

shouldn't be a problem if you don't let them get rusted.

Ultrasonic cleaner and some light gun oil then repackage

Sorry, Joe... I'm just a regular genius. I haven't been upgraded to the spark-plug version.

I had a few NGK jet ski plugs that were completely submerged. I cleaned em and dried. Used at a later date with no issue.

Um not spark plug genius, but I have drowned a few bikes before. Had to dry them out and they have worked after to at least get me home.

We clean all our plugs (champion) in the ultra sonic cleaner before we use them in the race car. I would think they should be fine as long as you blow them all out.

Nothing moves in a spark plug so as long as they aren't corroded you'll be fine

Stick em in the oven for 5-10 mins ? About 100-110 Centigrade.
Would think that would heat them enough to disperse any residue.
Use this method on old Arc welding rods that have got abit damp and old sitting around and they light up and work real smooth after!

Hope you getting things sorted after the flood and your cats are all good!

I got my minor in spark plugs, but we never learned anything about drying plugs. We left that up to the spark plug majors...

Wipe them off with a baby wipe first and then boil them for about 20 minutes in distilled water. Once they've cooled enough to handle, coat them with a light amount of baby oil and then.....shit, I just read your post again.....I thought you said butt plug geniuses. Carry on......

By the time I get through sorting through all this stuff I'm sure I'll probably find a few of them too. Laughing All the water appears to have flowed towards and through my corner of the neighborhood. It's amazing what all floats.
