never ridden a 350, but it seems like most reviews are by vet type riders. was wondering what the pros think of the bike
https://www.google.com/amp/s/motocross.transworld.net/news/antonio-cair…
450 OPEN and +25
With a good racer the bike will pull holeshots and can win the races
I ask the rider all the time do you need more power and he states the 450's have way too much power and
climb out of turns, he thinks he could use the immediate torque of the 450 when immediately transitioning
from braking to accel but thinks 350 is superior in every other way.
But saying that, we understand its harder to race people with instant power and torque compared to him
winding it up and out when the 450 already wound up the instant you hit it.
He does well with it against the big dogs and usually top 3 if he doesn't (crash) or (forget to tighten sprocket bolts heaven forbid!) HAH .
Heard also the 350 for 19 was major improvement but so are 450's.
We'll find out this spring maybe!
Shelby Peterson - holeshot lorettas on it 450 A - loved the bike before he hung up the boots
Blake Neiheiser - preferred the 350 over the 450 - could go faster on it - and had great starts, that's a 20-30 place outdoor pro rookie season speed wise
And current texas up comer zane merrett has been ripping on his, won loretta's 450 B title on it, holeshot every moto - and holeshot motos in 450 A on it at loretta's as well with top 5ish speed
The bike is great if you ride it hard.
The Shop
Also worth mentioning Ricky Renner won a +25 title at Loretta's on one a few years ago. I personally love mine. Growing up on 2-strokes I've always overreved 450s. The 350 is at its best being ridden like a big-bore 250 rather than torqued around like a 450.
