Even as little as 30 years ago there used to be almost unlimited riding possibilities in Southern California.

The Mrs. is from just over the hill east on Slauson, and we'd see guys riding early on when visiting her mom before all that got developed or "parked."

Living there in Culver City on Jefferson Boulevard just a few miles from the dam when it broke. Used to ride our bicycles there all the time when I was 12 -13 years old.

I was always jealous of California when I was growing up back in the late 70’s early 80’s. You guys could literally ride a dirtbike anywhere. Sad to see times change like that.

It was like another world up there...that's how I got turned on..I lived across the street from the base...Wink
