So, aside from connected folks, have any of you seen any of the New FLY Formula helmets out in the hands of normal riders yet? I have been waiting for months now to get one but nobody has them.

After handling the display helmet at Indy, I am really excited to get mine!

there were probably five or six floating around the ride day Matt Walker just hosted at Silver Dollar in Ga, tried one on super comfy liner and feels lighter than my new F2.

Dennis Kirk had a ride day a month or so back at a local indoor track and had demo Fly Formula helmets to try out. Used one there and really liked it so I ordered one of my own. Helmet came in a couple weeks ago and finally got out this past Saturday to ride at Meadow Valley.

Overall I am digging the helmet, here are a couple things I noticed coming from a Klim F4.

Tight fit, but in a good way, better way to say it might be a snug fit. I'm a medium in about all helmet brands but this one feels a touch snugger than any of my past helmets, but in a full day of riding, 2.5 hrs on the bike total and it never bugged me at all so I take this as a plus. Also I use a Fly F2 in the winter on snowmobiles, after a full day riding with it my ears will start to get sore from the fit. The formula did not have this issue so this is a big plus for me as some enduros in the summer can hit 5 hrs of seat time.

You can hear! Seriously at first I thought my bike had an issue since it was just well, loud. The helmet doesn't muffle sounds like my past ones so you literally hear more things, from your bike to the wind to others around you. Will be wearing ear plugs come race day.

Ventilation was awesome, was in the mid 70s here, so nothing crazy hot but I never felt sweaty after riding. Plenty of ventilation to keep me cool and wick away any sweat that would be building up.

Goggle port seems larger. It might not be but when I first put it on it seemed bigger and more peripheral vision. I could be nuts though, need to compare better side by side to my old helmet to see if this is real or I am just nuts.

Light weight. Never got a sore neck, or noticed the weight of the helmet, which is a good thing after a full day riding. Although I can't complain about the weight of my Klim F4 either, should look up the specs to compare the 2 or just put them on the scale tonight. If I do I'll post an update but overall the Formula for sure is a light helmet which is a must for me in the long races.

All in all I am very happy with it, and hope I never have to use any of its fancy safety features!

I will be buying one as soon as this year's model starts to go on clearance. I have a new F2 Carbon from last year and love it.

This model won't go on clearance until next summer (2020). Just didn't want you to expect that soon and be disappointed.

I tried mine on last night and fit/finish of this helmet is excellent. Very light weight and just feels good on your head. I'm anxious for my first ride to see how the venting does.

I got to handle one at the Indy round of SX and am excited... Seeing others have theirs already is killing me! I had been wearing an Airoh the last two years but broke it recently. I went back to my old Arai to get me through these early season races. As much as I always loved the Arai's It feels dated and heavy after getting used to the Airoh. I hope the Fly feels as good as I imagine it will.

I got mine yesterday from Rocky Mountain. I wear a medium in the old F2 and Bell Moto 9 and this new one is *really* tight. Makes me wonder if it was mislabeled as a medium and it’s really a small.

I used to wear a small in the older Fox V3 so it’s not like I have a head that borders on large!

Thanks for the info JT. I am ok with that, my F2 is still basically new. It is probably better for me so I don't have to explain why I am already buying another helmet to my wife.

I got a medium that was really tight at first but after a ride or two it now feels good like its shaped to my head

I got mine a few weeks ago. Super light weight and comfy. Haven’t been on the bike with it yet though.

Awesome to see them out there! I guess they must have sent them out to distributors before sending to support riders. Can't blame them, I suppose. I know I am excited for mine and am glad to see many others are supporting them and buying them as well.

I do wish the face guard was closer. I hate getting pelted in the lips by roost.
