@ReturnofJorddo He's definitely not playing... The engineers were for sure at the Bergholz OH round of the Appalachian Championship Enduro Series last summer.

Couldnt help but notice you didnt mention the previous gen 450 which only had a 3 year run, 16-18. What's to say the 250 won't follow suit? All these bikes are so good now you're seeing the big 6 really push each other to try and separate themselves from the rest. No one is sitting on their hands waiting to see what the other guy does first it seems. They're all being more innovative with their own technology and taking bigger risks. The buyers pool is much smaller than it used to be so oems need to be more aggressive than ever with there bike development and marketing campaigns, which to me is pretty apparent that they are. And no offense but if you can't even site a source or give a very vague idea as to why what you're saying is credible then it's no different than reading it on Wikipedia. We're talking dirtbikes here not nasa's flux capacitor blue prints. We're all going to find out in a few months anyway. No worries. I heard otherwise from my kawi rep. Didn't go into lots of detail but did say "big" changes are coming in 2020 for the kx250f. We shall see. When it does resemble the 450 I'll def be scooping one.

There are sources you can't talk about or basically you can kiss your info goodbye. I could go into a long story about how the KX450 was pushed up a year, development pushed wide open while 250 was set for normal four year run but has has a couple small updates on it as they will carry over into the heavily updated 2021. (That's the short version)

If you're waiting for it to resemble the 450, you're waiting for '21.

As a kawi fanboy id really like to hear the extended story about all of that.

With the current market, kawi should push the kx250 up a year as well. It went well for them on the 450 and look how theyre doing against the other mfgs.

Trying to convince the bean counters may be near impossible for the amount of bikes they may sell.

I keep hearing stories of mx bike profits are almost zero and only used as a stepping stone to a more lucritive road bike.

Not sure if it's fact or fiction.

It wouldn't bother me if they kept what they have for years to come and just continued to refine it like the YZ250. It would also help them hold prices down a bit. You don't have to have a totally redesigned bike all the time. I have just as much fun on my vintage 1974 Elsinore 250 as I do my 2019 Rockstar Husqvarna.

"More detailed rumors tell us of a change in the termia and of the different head, in fact we do not see the classic Jappo windows, to note that they also speak of a new connecting rod.

That's all for now, we have the expectation of the next news and admire the usual beauty and elegance of Team Rinaldi bikes.

PS: In the Team they deny the passage in Suzuki."

Hmmm..

Of course not, but I would probably be as fast or close to as fast on a 2012 model.

Incrementally faster, not funner, is what they are selling with each new model. Otherwise, they'd all be making 125s.

But are you really faster, even incrementally? It would be the same thing if you just did refinements to the current model as there hasn't been any major technology improvements in a while except for electronics. That could be a refinement on a current model. Sometimes the new model isn't as good as the one it replaces.

I agree. If Yamaha were to refine the yz250 every year, not a complete redesign, imagine how good it would be...
