Very interesting! I wonder if the new bike is too stiff for him? With the GPs being so rough maybe he couldn’t get comfortable?

You can see it’s the 18.5 frame but modded the mounts to fit.

Easy to do, you just bolt on the 18 cylinder head and engine mounts, cut off the new pipe mount on the frame. Probably needs a different cam chain....

He’s been for a couple seasons now.

A few other obvious goodies too. Full Akrapovic with a longer headpipe and muffler, 52mm spring forks, hump in the seat and no ridges, new style shock, grip tape on the frame, black side case, Pirelli's, Moto Master front rotor (oversized?) radiator hose to match old head. What else?

I read somewhere that Cairoli eventually recognized that he needed the 450 to keep winning starts. If there's one thing he's crazy good at, it's starts.

F1. MotoGP. MXGP. Screw the rest.

Yeah he is the current holeshot master I would say.
He's also duking it out with Herlings now and I dont think hed be competitive enough on it to keep up with that monster lol
