Surratt bringing putting the fun back in as well! This could start a huge trend. 3 2 strokes in the 450 class!

Awesome. He has some ride videos on 2 strokes so I'm sure he'll be on the pipe

Better hope not to many more 2 strokes get entered in the 450 class or else they will have a media blackout on the race.

I seriously wonder what the AMA would do, if there got to be say 10-15 250 2 strokes in the moto’s. Obviously they can do it with the right rider

What if fifteen 250 2-strokes did in fact show up. What do you think the AMA should do at that point?

Ahhh and they all qualified? I think manufactures would have a heart attack as well as the ama. They don’t want 2 strokes it’s obvious. Aldredge was running top 10 barely a mention of him.

Besides KTM and Husky, are any 250 2Ts legal?

According to the list only the KTM and Husky are legal. That said didn't they let a YZ or two race in recent years?

I think the rules are they have to sell 500 units in US right? If I remember correctly Henry Miller was set to race a YZ250 at Millville last year but couldn't because of homologation rules. Don't think Yamaha sells 500 250s in a year. TM certainly doesn't.

I thought Yamaha didn't pay $3000 to have a homo bike so no YZ 2 strokes in the pros

He is smart moving to the 450 class, less depth so he should get a decent result.

Yeah pretty sure you aren't qualifying on a 2 stroke or 4 stroke

There’s only 40 gates. Do you think him deciding to race will add a 41st gate?

Cody Gragg had a decent run at Budds Creek in the mud a few years ago on a YZ250. Maybe those bikes were homo'd then.

RIP Cody.
