From the land of Sweden comes news of another electric off-road motorcycle manufacturer that goes by the name CAKE. Their first offering, the KALK, is what they describe being inspired by downhill mountain bikes and built entirely from scratch, “The ride is strongly influenced by DH and Enduro MTBs, in terms of geometry, suspension, stance, components and handling.” With a very unique look, the name KALK name stems from KALKsten, or limestone, which is the bedrock of the island of Gotland, Sweden. With a price tag of $14,000 the brand is now taking pre-orders on their first limited edition run of 50.

That thing makes me wonder if the people who created it even ride.

The Cake Kalk? Between the name and the design I think something got lost in translation.

I think the same thing was said of Alta when it was first introduced. Who knows if CAKE will take off or not.

I think it looks like a ton of fun! I'd love to tear around on one. I wonder if they're mountain bike legal, like, can I ride that on the local bike paths? That can't be, it's too fast I would think...?

Doug just took his shirt off!

Nothing looks all that good about that thing. At least the suspension settings are stiff. Ohhhhhhh!
