Our sport / WADA / Feld / and the fans have taken advantage of Stewart to make money.

The more drama there was around JS7, the more money they made.

Who else can ride near last place, and get TV coverage, hold his line when Marvin and RD5 were battling, and still make headlines?

Or getting popped for taking prescribed ADHD medicine that other riders were taking as well and get banned for a year? Though headlines were not Stewart taking prescribed ADHD medication, the same medication that RD5 was taking, though didn't fill out proper paper work. It was Stewart gets banned for doing drugs, or taking illegal substances.

There are so many other examples it is sickening. If I was JS7, with the amount of money he has. . . I would disappear too.
Got any proof Dungey was on Aunt Addie?

He won’t race again, and if you think he’s going to give back to the sport by attending races then forget it, he’s too cool for school.

A big middle finger to the fans, he probably thinks he’s dropped the mic and that by simply disappearing into the sunset he’ll become some kind of fabled, elusive figure, like the Bobby Fischer of Motocross. The stone cold reality is that he was no longer competitive after he had to restrict himself to therapeutic levels of Adderall after he got busted taking it without a TUE. Of course the truth can fade with time and some people only remember what they want to.

He might keep teasing fans with hopes of a comeback to keep his brand relevant (or more likely to amuse himself) but other than that, forget it. Great rider, but ultimately his actions spoke stronger than his words.
You need drugs. James is and always will be a top icon of moto , simple as that.

If you knew shit about moto I wouldn't have to skull hump it into you.

Let’s just all admit it, Dungey destroyed James chances of a career comeback when he pile drived his face into the hard supercross dirt. Accident or not, it’s pretty fucked up. But yep, RD is a great guy! Love him! Slam our hero’s skull into the ground, win some championships, and leave. DizzyPinch

He will never race professionally again. We have witnessed his last professional race. The number 7 will be available next year. I really don’t know why he doesn’t make it official, but he can do whatever he wants I guess.

Forgive me, since its been a few years . . . though if my memory serves me correctly, I recall hearing and reading stuff from Ralph, Emig, Matthes, Coombs, and many other forms of media (since the WADA / anti-doping / JS7 drama was sweeping the MX world at the time) that JS7 was taking the same ADHD medication that many other pro athletes were taking at the time (including Dungey).

The difference being that other riders had their TUE's filled out and submitted, and JS7 didn't.

Though, I could be recalling incorrectly.

The drinks and pills are likely not illegal substances...no way they would be that ballsy or stupid to take them on the line. Dungey had two drinks...I assume some sort of pre workout for energy and a post workout for electrolytes etc. I'm not a nutritionist so that is pure speculation. I believe Dungey and Stewart drank something similar and at the time they were both training with Aldon.

As for Stewart's absence from racing. There is nothing to talk about. James is already at a disadvantage from not racing for multiple years. He has completely lost his base. He isn't going to further disadvantage himself by lining up on a privateer bike. He also isn't going to pay to race. What exactly does he have to gain from racing right now? Give up time with his kid(s) and wife. Risk getting seriously injured. And for what? Absolutely nothing. A few more races or even wins aren't going to make his legacy any stronger. He won a ton of races. He won every title you can. I'm not sure but I'd imagine he isn't totally satisfied with his career considering he was gunning for McGrath's supercross records...in his mind, and many other for that matter, he should have been more dominant. He should have won more races and titles...but at this point in his career any chance of more wins, records, or titles is low.

Not a chance that anyone specifically stated who had a TUE. Only people that know that would be the ones processing the paperwork. I don't believe anyone in AMA, Feld, AMA Pro Racing, FOX, NBC or any other affiliate have that information. That information is protectred under HIPAA. I believe only WADA/USADA would handle that information.

That said, this is a question I have had for a while and I'm not sure it has ever been answered. Releasing individual names of athletes who possess a TUE would be a violation. Stating how many TUE's have been filed would not be. I think Matthes and Daniel Blair have stated that there were multiple riders who were frantically making phone calls to double check their paperwork. I'm not sure who he was referring to. There have been some pretty dominant riders in our day but I doubt any information will ever be uncovered. James getting popped was a result of some mishandling by him and his people around him. I don't think he was doing anything different than some other riders.

Anyhow, my 2 cents for whatever it is worth...

I have done it before, twice, and twice have been eliminated.
I guess because of the people who come in to complain about a new JS7 thread
Let's see if this is eliminated thanks to your complaint, who knows.

Equally to open or own would not solve the complaints, I have one of Jason Lawarence stopped because people complain about updating it.
Some people are never happy.
They always find something to complain about.

If Osborne is moving up to the 450 for outdoors and JM6 doesn't win the outdoor title, then this years 250 outdoor champion could take it.

Now there's the real question. I'm thinking it comes down to Martin, Forkner, or Plessinger. Savatgy and AC have an outside shot imo.

I'm going to be optimistic and say he is taking a few years off to invest in his family and heal his body. Is there truly anyone here that thinks a motivated and in shape Stewart couldn't come back and whoop some ass? If he is truly, honestly done with the sport I can't see it being that hard to announce a retirement. The people saying he keeps leading everyone on to keep the 7 brand relevant, I don't buy that. The company has a bunch of riders wearing it, everyone in the moto industry knows of their presence so the company and brand is already relevant. If he actually announced his retirement that would generate a shit ton more views, hits, whatever than some random JS7 threads on Vital a couple times a month and the continued radio silence. Who knows, but I think we'll see him back.

I wasn't referring to his mystery drink as a drug of choice, just the fact that his ass wasn't up on the big stage making sure his Monster water can was rotated properly towards the camera. That was a difficult situation he was in the middle of back then.

Glad I got to see him ride!

Would that have been in 2008? So Phoenix? He ended up pulling out of the series early for a knee injury. It was really odd considering he wont the weekend before. Did this have to do with it?

My Snap On guy was wanting to give me trade in value on my old 7.3 F250 for something similar. I laughed it off and said no thanks but he was serious.Laughing

That setup empty with no tools and without the four top cabinets comes in at $67950.00. I like Big James's style check in the tool department...Smile

Your asking the wrong question to get an answer, if you want an answer try what is stopping him lining up?...the answer may give a clue to the original question.

Nope.

Agree or disagree, he obviously isn't ready to make a decision on this chapter of his life and won't go public until he does.

Saw a post on reddit a day or two ago where a guy bought a very similar setup for about $63k, geez.
