I figured he wouldnt give a flying fvvk cuz its Ando, but hearing him say that hes embarrassed shows the respect these guys have for Kenny. Kenny never rides dirty, hes been thru sooo much, the sport ambassador, and a genuinely good guy you can tell all these guys r rooting for his come back. Hopefully Ando apologized in person... its squashed, and Kenny has the red plate so no harm no foul. Usually Ando doesnt give 2 shats so that shows how much these guys r rooting for Kenny.

I was surprised by his response. He's a classy guy.

I saw no reason for an apology. Roczen turned down taking himself out.

I agree Roczen totally left the door open and Anderson took advantage of it.

So very happy for KR94. How many times have you seen Ando make moves like that? Seems to me like he was just trying to pacify all the fans on Kenny's side.

So let me get this straight...

Marvin T-Boning Tomac last year was totally fine with so many

But Ando using the door that Kenny left open to make a pass wasn’t ok because Kenny went down after getting caught on Andos rear wheel?

Ok, got it. Thanks

WTH though. I get it, Kenny has over come big injuries and that’s awesome. But wtf? These guys are going to take it easy on him now because of it? Or fans are going to get pissed when guys pass him aggressively?? I really hope that’s not what we are coming to.

I don’t think that anyone thinks it was a dirty pass. He just apologised anyway.

at the end , if youre faster you dont need to take out the other rider ...simple

Bagget showed , Roczen showed .. its a choice , its also a risk of crashing with the other rider

I see it the same way. Both passes were sketchy at best. It normally takes tactics like that if you aren’t quite as fast as the rider in front of you. A good block pass imo is when one rider comes in and is practically beside the other when reaching the end of the turn. Then, even if there is contact, the lead rider at least knows the other rider is that close giving him the option to shut it down. In both passes being discussed, the rider behind hit the lead rider with their front wheel in the side. Even RC agreed both passes were sketchy, but some on here know etiquette better than him.

*There is no one on here who wouldn’t have been pissed in either pass. Let’s at least be realistic. I don’t believe there is ever a good pass that takes another rider out. Some just call it racing, but these moves cause tempers to flare and injuries to occur. Roczen hurt himself badly last year trying to retaliate a pass Webb made on him. We don’t need to go as far as American football, but an overly aggressive pass is just that.

huge mistake from roczen, right in the whoops and crossing the track to going in the turn by the left side was stupid when you got a fast rider close to you, he open the turn for anderson and then cut inside, recipe to going down. can't blame anderson.

C'mon you guys, are we watching the same sport?! There's like one second between the top 12 guys, that's a single loss of traction or a fraction of a 'huckabuck'. Anderson is loved for these aggressive passes, not known for needlessly apologising. I think this statement and last weekends result shows his current state of mind, which is more of a concern than anything else.

Don't get the entire discussion.
Anderson told in the interview his move was to aggressive Roczen said I have to look into it.

All said it was to aggressive and the one who went down didn't complain.
End of story!

My 5 cents if somebody crashes due to a pass it's not a clean pass! ?
Look at Bagget yesterday that was a nice and clean pass! ?

Yup exactly.

I just read his post race statement on racerx, he say he would have been happy with a top5 at glendale... which raining champion say that ?!

It's really weird especially coming from him, he probably didn't have a great off season, too much party, obligation, maybe an injury. He seems out of shape on the bike, big lack of endurance, he lost a loooot of speed in the 3 last lap, he can thanks the red flag.

Let’s lay it out for ya...

It was an intended block-pass. What wasn’t intended was for Kenny to hit the deck. Kenny tried to turn under tucked the front. That bummed Jason out...’cause, it WASN’T what he was trying to do

There is a HUGE difference in the two above mentioned passes.

Roczen turned down in to Ando last night.

Last year, Marvin completely torpedo’d Tomac. Musquin’s pass was a desperate bitch move that could have seriously injured Tomac. Ando’s Move was racing. He didn’t point his bike directly at Roczen with the intent of taking him out of the race.

You can’t even compare the two.

Thing is, he could say whatever, dude has a track record of passing however he wants. I doubt he gives two shits really.

Same.

Maybe because Ando was unconsciously afraid to hurt Roczen again. It was 100% Roczen's fault. As racer 111 said, Roczen turned down in to Ando. Identical to Hill vs Musquin at Tampa last year. So standar in SX.

The apology was a classy act by Anderson for sure. Clean racing is better racing and less people get hurt.
