I'd like to know what really caused the fallout between RV and Kawasaki if anyone has that info.

Probably a disagreement on money or what his obligations would be. Some have said he wants to get more involved with flat track racing and Yamaha has a program for that. We can only speculate at this point.

Isn't Mcgrath Kawi's brand ambassador? I figured they just didn't need another.

RV wants to race flat track and Yamaha is willing to support him. I'm not even sure if Kawasaki has a bike or a team?

Or maybe just something simple as rv want to corporate with a new brand to enjoy myself and try something new? Being kawi since pro and through amateurs, he said recently in one interview that maybe if he switched manufactures when he raced his carrier might have been longer with new bike new people around him?

On the PulpMX show on Monday, he hinted that he wasn't able to get bikes from Kawasaki anymore. That was why he had an all chrome ProCircuit bike at straight Rhythm.

Also, Yamaha offered him some support to do flat track and race SxS/UTV/quads-with-steering-wheels/ loud-uncomfortable-cars, and he's into that now I guess.

RV2 wanted to be free to participate in other events and things he was not allowed to do with Kawasaki. He also was not the “face” of Kawasaki, he was “robin”

He let everyone know that to get a bike he had to reach out to Pro Corcuit, Kawasaki wanted no part in getting him bikes.

RV2: Lifelong Kawi rider, wins multiple championships for the brand = Can't get bikes.

MC2: Face of Kawasaki.

Makes sense.

When and where did this actual " Brand Ambassador " thing start anyways? With MC in the mid 2000's ? I don't remember anything before that , and now it seems every manufacture has to have an ambassador. Kinda weird.

I'm with you. Kawasaki should blowing RV for all the successful years he's given them. If all he wanted was a few bikes here and there and to race flat track then Kawi should have supported him!

Agreed. Bring a brand 9 championships throughout your career and cant get a few bikes from them?

Wasn't Damon Bradshaw doing something similar to that last year?

On McGrath's Action Sports SX show last night this was brought up. Details were not given but I got the vibe from Jeremy that he's not a big fan of RV and there's some bad blood between RV and Kawi. He kinda hinted that RV was not doing his job as "brand ambassador" at Kawi.

I don't don't what happened but I would suspect RV unfriended Kawasaki on Facebook and Kawi probably blocked him.

Am I the only one that JDGAF & is simply happy that RV is still shredding?
Hell, if I had my way...
MC would be the HRC "1-800" Brand Ambassador and he'd be rocking a helmet that was hand painted by Troy Lee.
But, what do I know?

I know. I was just saying he did his entire pro career with 1 manufacturer and all that loyalty didn't bring him anything in the end.

MC Did race his first pro years on a Kawasaki. So there is that.

However, yah, MC was #125 on a Yamaha even before that

To be honest although he has 10 SX titles, McGrath has lost relevance, to me RV would have been a better ambassador after his long Green career.

I think it's a little bigger issue than not being able to get free bikes. The guy is worth millions I don't think a couple $8,000 bikes is going to mean anything to him. Makes more sense that he wasn't allowed to participate in other sports like side by sides and what not.

Kawaski is weird that way. They didnt give their longest term guy (Wardy) much after he retired. Suzuki still gives Travis Pastrana bikes and even Bob Hannah said he still gets stuff from Yamaha.
