Most years it seems like the attendance falls a little bit through A2 and A3 but this past weekends attendance seemed even lower than one should reasonable expect, especially with the racing having been so good through the first two rounds.
Is the live TV package making it too easy to enjoy the race from the comfort of your own home?
Have they simply saturated the So Cal market with too much SX?

The Shop
1. Great HD "LIVE" coverage
2. Ticket prices.
Club Level = $125.00
Field Level = $75.00
View Level = $40.00
I would not have attended if not for the "retro/Legends" night ...........and my first Anaheim race was in 1977.
Anaheim has been ramming the prices up these last few years. I remember back in early 2000's Club level row A was 36.00. Everyone I talk to that didn't go this year said it was due to the tickets being too expensive at Anaheim. A lot of them are going to SD cause it is 1/2 the price.
Club Level = $121.40
Field Level = $86.20
End zone = $68.60
View Level = $46.65
It's an awesome show, Feld doesn't "owe" me anything, and they can charge whatever they like.
Industry "Down-Low" close to the track where the tix can cost $50& up...$75...
And tix up in 529...waaaay up hi where they usually cost the least. I've seen $15-20 tix depending on Venue up in that area.
I took my "Girls" (wife & 6 y/o daughter) up to 529. We saw ALL of the racing and had the best perspective of the jumps & whoops that I'd seen all damn day (including sitting down by home plate during practice to keep an eye on so e riders and their route thru the Whoops). Oh, and, Lurch's screaming wasn't soooo loud!
For Oakland I'm going to go sit up high during the night program, again. You see EVERYTHING.
I'd sat up high during A1 for part of the night program, too. You'd be surprised "who" sits up there with head-phones on watching the racing and seeing EVERYTHING.
If you have a "Group" you could look into a "Box": the Individual ticket/seat price isn't much different than club level (can even be LESS!) and it's really nice...you're own catering (about $50 a head) and your own bathroom, etc.
I'll take these prices, seating, crowd and attendance over an NFL game: I don't even go, anymore (9ers) and just let the family use'em. On the other hand: I have been caught being a "12th" up in Seattle: Awesome Fans.
Pit Row
Where are you finding half price tickets for San Diego? My gf wants to go to that round bc her mom lives down there but the tickets look the same to us...?
Very easy, from bottle in boot to zipplock filled stuffed in pants.
Coupled with the 45,050 from the opener and that's 85,732 SX tickets sold at the same venue within 16 days.
They'll probably get another 35,000 in two weeks.
Even "good guy" price of $73 is a tad steep for an event that is live on TV. Hopefully the New York/Jersey event sells out, we shall see.
