Dig that frame.

Thinking it probably needs a longer silence. That one is too short!

Sure is making a pissing contest with kawasaki about that muffler length

That's Fantictastic (see what I did there?) congrats MXA would probably want you to go up a tooth on the rear sprocket to get you from 2nd to 3rd faster.Congratulations and enjoy.

Very high zoot factor. Fantic was large in trials in yhe 1970's and 1980's. One of the many Italian boutique brands. Nice to see them back.

I think they last made that bike in 2013 - 2015? They utilized Gas Gas 250 / 300 engines . They also had a 4t in a Trellis Spar frame. I can't recall the engine used.

After 1st seeing the Fantic, I've considered a Trellis (I make TT1 / TT2 frames + others) / Spar frame much like these. When / If I ever get the time (and enthusiasm) to make a new frame for my PDS'd CRE500. But, spar frames tend to make you have to carry fuel above the engine, and I don't like making a 2t feel like a 4t = top heavy. I made a 'drop tank' to get the fuel largely around the cylinder, down to the cases to make a 500 feel like much more lithe....

When the Trellis Spar Fantics first were shown, they had a quite unique triple clamp set up, for either / both trail adjustment / fork leg angle adjustment. A ball and socket for the steer tube in the lower clamps, I think. Not sure they were ever actually sold with it.

They now have 50cc 2t, 125 and 250 4t 'Performance', Dual Sport and Motard bikes, and 250 to 500cc 'Scramblers' - under the name of Caballero, now . Here's their site:

Its from 2013 and literally brand new!
The engine is gas gas and that triple clamp adjuster made it to the final bike. Ill post up details if youre interested.

A couple made their way to Canada, almost bought one. Nice score OP... the 125 mx bike had 2 discs up front. Love Italian bikes.

I'm actually digging this. Cone pipe? Ohlin's suspension? One-off looking frame? I hadn't seen anything from Fantic in quite a few years. Glad to see they are still around.

We need a ride report , my man!

And there goes Jeffro. One of God's own prototypes. A super high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

With my going into my 'puter and checking on Fantic, I found that, in Italy, there is a class for the current trend of "Scrambler" type bikes, in Off Road competition.

A few videos I saw of them where pretty bloody interesting. Seeing some of the Big Scramblers ( like Triumphs one, Ducatis, and Guzzis etc) haring about on wet, largely off-camber grass track special tests, that would be a challenge on a latest model Enduro bike, made me wince and hold onto my destroyed knees. With some of the big 'Scramblers', your looking at well over 500lbs to try to hold up with the human knee joint, when they tuck the front end. dizzy

Bloody Italians - they'll Race anything. From Scooters ( they've had Scooter[super]cross ) through to barely dirt worthy 'dirt styled' road behemoths, it's all fair game for the mad bastards. 50cc Enduros are amazing to watch (and hear) on YouTube.

It's why I love the Italians, and Italy. Well, Europe as well - there's so much Motorcycling going on over there that we 'New Countries' just have no idea of. There's far too much navel gazing among 'enthusiasts' - there's a big wide World out there with near endless racing going on.

Very nice bike. Congrats! I had wanted a Fantic trails bike quite a few years ago but never got serious enough to look for one.
