After seeing the graphic in the TV coverage, you realize how simple it would be to create a different, separate award for the Overall standings of the SX and MX series combined. I'd assume it's only because the 2 parties don't cooperate with one another's naming rights? Props to Peacock for putting that on the program. Pretty obvious MX Sports isn't the one with the problem.
Yeah, it can be done but it will probably end up like a constructors championship or the triple crown champion, with a plaque and a line in the history books and not much else.
