I'm not sure if anyone will remember him because he didn't go far once he turned pro, but he was an excellent mini rider from Oregon who used to tear it up when he went to Canada. His name was Danny Ulven, number 405. I'm sure some people from Washington will remember him because he would tear it up there as well.
I remember Danny very well! I used to see him give fits to McCormick and Huffman both at some of the races around here. Could never mistake his long ass hair sticking out of the back of that helmet! haha. Dude could rip!

I was looking for Jim turner's name and then saw your post. He was a very fast rider from La Selva, in Norcal.

His championship year was around 75 or 76.

200,000 years of natural selection and you are the end product. Where did it all go so wrong?

Perhaps one banch on the family tree ? They would rather marry their cousins than allow gay marrage in some states.....

berno, Derrick Fisher wasn't an American, he was from Brantford, Ontario, I believe. Moved to Georgia when his father transferred with the Blue Bird bus co. I rode with him at the same tracks, his father was teaching him at the time. Dad was no slouch either, but put all his efforts into Derrick's riding.
I met the Fishers while they where in GA and racing in the area.

Simon Homans was another Canandian that would come down south to race

Mitch Cooke saw him a few times as well

-----------------------------------

currently there are several USA boys up north
Dylan Schmoke ALpine, CA boy
Jesse Wentland from Minn.
