It was happening to me on many sites not just vital. I cleared my history and cookies and it’s gone away. Also this is on my phone.

I'm tired of all the gay senior ads on the right side. I come here for dirt bikes and don't understand why Vital allows companies like dating websites to advertise here. Frustrating!

Still can't access vital on my iphone for 4 days now because of the amazon pop ad.
Using another device for this post, tried deleting cookies, history, restart phone but no luck.
Is this problem related to registering for the crf450 bike give away?

^^^ I'm on a Samsung Galaxy and I've signed up for the CRF450 contest and I've never once received an Amazon pop-up. No pop-ups on my laptop either.

Are all you guys that are getting pop-ups all on Apple products?

It's not related to the bike give-away.

It comes from the porn sites you visit on your phone. Plain and simple. Has nothing to do with Vital.

You need to close out of safari on your phone. Then go to settings and clear out browser data under the safari app.

This usually works, but sometimes not 100%.

I don’t use my phone for porn, the screen is way too small! That’s what my desktop computer is for, duh!

A:
This is not your iPhone, browser or even the website's publisher - it's spamy ads that hijack your browser through deep linking. Clearing browser cache and restarting Safari or Chrome won't help.

Many websites use third-party advertisement networks to bring in the revenue, and the ad networks deliver ads based on your browsing history (via cookies or link tracking - think FB likes, tweets, insta, etc. buttons) and browser profile (you'd be surprised how identifiable you are just by the settings in your browser, your IP address and OS configuration). The website's publisher most likely isn't even aware of what's being advertised on their website and even less so that some of the ads are redirecting their visitors to fake sites...

Unfortunately, prevention has to happen on the server side - not your phone. And likely the only thing *you* can do is advise the website's owner - capture the screen you've been redirected to and provide any additional observations that could be relevant, like the page URL you were on, how long it took before you got presented with the "popup", etc. The owner could escalate it to their ad agency and possibly identify the spammer and block them, install a scanner on their web servers that inspects ads for redirects, etc. You could also disable JavaScript in your Safari settings but that would make most websites unusable.

Good luck

That makes no sense, are you trying to say that someone broke into my house and used my laptop to look at gay dating websites? Why would someone do something like that

No, I'm just saying that some of the ads you see is based on your search history. If you looked at dating websites, adult content, etc. whatever the case may be, random/similar ads could start popping up on other sites you visit including Vital MX.

Just a few days ago I was on EBay and I started getting EBay ads with similar items that I looked at.

Read This and you'll understand what I'm trying to say.

Yea, I was trying to browse the forums while on the shitter earlier (per usual) and the damn pop up literally made it impossible to use. What's funny though is it's only popping up when I'm in the forums - I had no problems browsing Pit Bits...

So, any clue what it IS related to?? Like I said in my post above, surfing the forums (in Safari browser on my iPhone) was literally impossible. Couldn't go more than 10-20 seconds without the pop up taunting me

Anyone remember the guy who came on here ranting about the Fleshlight ads on Vital and how it should be a wholesome site ?

If you read the link I posted you saw that it wasn't Vital's fault. That was his own doing. Probably should of kept that one to himself lol.

Now that people know, they might be more quiet posting/complaining about the ads they see on here.

That's his point, pretty much everyone knows how it works, now... I thought I remember it being gay porn ads and it was not long after I first started posting here. Whatever it was about the guy was dead serious and we had a field day with him. That's why I always default to complaining about gay ads every time a thread gets started about ads or pop ups. I usually get a lot more bites, hehe
