He deserves better than JGR. PC would hire him I reckon. He's just too good outdoors to be stuck on an underpowered bike

Power to weight ratio incentive perhaps? In all seriousness I thought the same as you. In terms of the team as a whole I don’t think he’s in a bad place. He’s a rider who could certainly put to bed the bike being too slow if he wins on it. Or he could just reinforce the theory if he does any less than he has this year.

2019 RMZ 250 will probably a completely new bike, I assume that's what he will ride. I don't think the old one was underpowered though.

Bad timing with contracts as TLD already had Shane McElrath and Jordon Smith under contract for next year, Sean Cantrell still has one more year on his am-to-pro deal and then Mitchell Falk turns pro at the end of this season. This places four riders under their tent and the team is pretty set on that number of riders with their budget.

Misleading post by the OP..”out at TLD” would mean today.

His contract expires at end of year and they aren’t signing a new deal..ok...not nearly as big a deal as OP makes it seem.

The big question was if he gets picked for the mxon what does he ride does he stay on the KTM or does he ride the Suzuki if he had just signed with them? I don't think Rodger would be too happy about a guy riding a new bike at the nation's.

Right? Thats a bummer for A-mart. Would be cool to see him on a jgr 450 outdoors but the 250s from all accounts are just not cutting it.

Amateur factory riders are ruining it for guys like Amart. He diserves to be on a top team. No offense to Cantrell or Moisman but have they even been in the top 10? He proving this summer he deserves the tld spot

What if he wins the championship I'll be shocked if they don't keep him to run number 1 plate

Maybe the JGR deal will have some time on a 450 written into it which is something TLD can't do.

Lifetime 250 riders are ruining it for amateur kids. Amart should try to find a 450 ride. That class could use it.

There are a lot of 450 guys vying for a few spots. That 250 spot that Amart is going for pays very well also. Any 450 spot he would get would not pay much if anything. That's why riders like Marty stay in 250 for so long, they get offered really good money to do so.
