Anyone done a gate drop on an Alta yet and see how the reaction time is? I'm assuming I'm going to do better than a normal gate drop since no clutch and shifting. My shop had a guy race a Jday on one but it's hard to tell with dead engine starts how much of an advantage it is. Racing one this weekend and anxious to see what happens since I'm usually last off the gate with poor timing.

Enjoy your holeshot! I have done a couple JDay style races on my Alta, with a dead engine start, and gotten the holeshot every time. It is a serious advantage for this kind of start.

Start in map 4, and then switch down to map 3 or map 2 after a corner or two.

We had Brendan Riordan race ours at Freedom GP but with the start being on a sod farm he just spun in the grass, I think it was too much torque where the other bikes went forward he broke loose and spun. It's going to be a concrete starting gate for me so I think it'll be good. I'll make sure to run a GoPro

Will be doing practice on it and depending how sign up goes will either be in 250 B or Open B if they make me. Haven't ridden it anywhere except our parking lot and it's wayyyyy too soft for me but it will be a fun ride.

How was battery life? I've asked the customers we've sold them to but they've all been trail riders so can't really gauge off them. I know as a pro Jday rider Brendan Riordan did a 27 minute moto and the warning light was on. I'll be doing two 10 minute motos in 250 or Open B and a 8 minute practice, hopefully it lasts.
