That's cool how well the silver pen matches the Astars logo.
It reminds me of a guitar Joe Satriani had his wife decorate in the '80s:

Are you going to clear over it when you’re done?

If I can get a really good clear coat. I'm debating on that still. If I don't then I could easily make touch ups, but more than likely yes I'll use matte clear and coat the hell out of it

I'll still need to finish the top and re-sharpen the lines round dot the eyes and cross t's

The fastest way to “ruin” an expensive lid.

hah!! Dude, that's wild! I have the carbon Supertech M10, and have been thinking of what kind of design would look good on the back side. I absolutely love the helmet, but the ass end feels like it could use something to spice it up..

Looks cool and definitely one of a kind. You HAVE to clear that. It will look like shit if you don’t after ride and wash or two.

Very nice, you have talent. You need to get on that mold and roof leak though before you guys get sick.
Anyone see the Hank Hill mold episode?

Man that thing is sweet! That had to take some time and a steady hand. All these helmets I’m seeing got me wanting to see what my Woman can do on one she’s a hell of an artist

I think he'd be fine if he did light coats. Not enough in one coat to make it run ya know?

Looks really unique, I like it a lot

I do a ton of artwork with sharpies / paint pens and a lot of these sprays will drastically "thin" sharpie ink. It doesn't ruin it per-say but the thin areas tend to get thinner and reveal the canvas.

Go talk to someone at Blick Art Supplies, they are very knowledgable and will be able to recommend something.

Looks great. Nice job!

That's fuckin sweet. I actually really like the sharpie look and the fact that it's not perfect.

If you do decide to clear it yourself I’d suggest doing a few dust coats first to protect the sharpie ink. If you wet coat it too soon it’ll likely thin out like killerwombat mentioned. After the dust coats have flashed well go with a light wet coat and then a heavier one. Good luck, looks great so far.

Some people just have that artistic bone in them.

Looks pretty sweet!

What these guys said! I ruined a kick ass paint job years back using sharpie for outlining then clearing over it.

I have cleared over sharpie before. I have the best luck by first spraying a coat of a interlock clear (clear basecoat) first before the clearcoat. Clearcoat tends to cause the sharpie to bleed if it is sprayed directly over.
