Alpinestars Tech 10 sizing help please. (Going from tech 8's to 10's)

I have had many many many pairs of tech 8's in the last, but am now going to try some 10's. 8's have always been my go-to's, but as I'm getting older now (36) and have more responsibilities with work and family/kids, I'm trying to wear the safest boots I can find. I feel like 10's offer a bit more protection than 8's...

Anyway, is the sizing the same? I've always liked size 11 in tech 8's, but wear 12 in street shoes, dress shoes and boots. My issue is I'm gonna buy them from abroad to save some coin, and nobody local has them to try on. Basically I need to get he size right so I don't get hammered in fees. Any tips? Are 8's and 10's sized simular?

My tech 10s fit slightly tighter in the same sizes. I have a few pairs of each and cannot wear thick socks in 10s but can in 8s.

Im exactly the same size as you 11.5-12 in street shoes but 11 boots. I had size 11 in Tech 8 and now 11 in Tech 10 and they are perfect, go with 11.

the newer 10s fit slightly larger than the previous 10s. i wore 12 in tech 8 and tech 10s.

May be a little of topic but... I love my Tech 10s but if safety really is your primary concern I wouldn't look at the Tech 10s, I believe the Sidi and Gaerne offer more protection.

Got a chance to try both on and 11 fits perfect while 12 is HUGE!
