Alpinestar gear question

So I bought the sand/black supertech gear and the pants are a different color then the jersey? Is this how it's suppose to be or is it a defect in the gear ?

If it's the same thing Anderson was wearing, it's a defect.

it might match better under better lighting but it looks pretty off in your picture

I've seen it many times where the pants and jersey's aren't an exact match because the dye works differently on the different materials. That's pretty far off though but I'd ask them rather than all the idiots on here (myself included).

it looks like they sent you the wrong pants. spread them out and make sure the design matches supertech, first. there's no way the match should be that off.

Okay thanks guys .. I figured it was a defect but I've never personally had it happen to me before so was wondering what the deal was .. I'm gunna get better pictures and send them a email tomorrow

They’ve sent you the wrong pants, not a defect just wrong colour, do the pants still have the label? Will maybe say another colour other than sand?

I'm pretty sure that is a manufacturing defect. I know the Astars gear and those seem to be the right Supertech pants but the color is way off.

I have a question about factory racers boots here is a pic of Jett and Colt both wearing Tech 10’s you can see Colts look like off the shelf units but Jett looks to have the inner heat guards from the older Tech 10’s but the boot itself looks like the latest are they custom or am I just tripping 🤷‍♂️

They are definitely different. Really if you look at a lot of the riders Tech 10’s you’ll see a lot of variations. It can be customizations for that rider or testing production changes. They have already had a few running changes to the ‘new’ boots because they want to keep improving them.

Yep. They do a lot of custom stuff with the Tech 10 boots. Especially the part you pointed out, the grip part of the inside.

If you can find athlete versions of the Tech 10 for sale, you often find small differences with them compared to the OTS boots. I think that is pretty cool, just goes to show how serious Alpinestars are with their stuff and that they want to get the best possible stuff for their riders on the highest level.
