Bought and paid for by Tony via the phone call on the last pulp show. Ron Hamp engines, MB1 suspension. Both companies they worked with in the past.

Gonna be Mike's toughest year as far as results, especially in SX. I wish him good luck though.

I agree, I'm glad he is sporting a colorway that isn't the red/orange/yellow set that he always seems to wear!

And to the guy who was bagging him saying he is gonna have a bad year, why don't you just STFU and leave that negative crap out of here... you contributed nothing to the conversation.

The Alessis, as a family, are really growing on me over the past few years... they have more heart for this sport than the majority of the posers on this board combined.

The Alessi's have always said their long term goals were to run their own (factory level) team. I hope they get their wish and get some good support behind them. Whether all of us keyboard rocket scientists agree or not, the Alessi's as amateurs enjoyed success that no other family in history can claim. We all think we know whats going on but whatever it was they were doing back in the day worked and it worked damn well. Lets get some good funding for these guys and lets see what they bring.

What is Tuf ? I thought that dealer was closed down years ago ?

This just might be exactly what he needs, we know he has the talent. I wish him the best

Tuf are the same guy that run the arena cross team. He teamed up with Ron Hamp to build the motor parts... which they now sell under the tuf name for motox... See the links below.

Gotta be honest, I was expecting something "more".. but maybe this is going to be the next hill of the roller coaster, top level riders running their own program..

I think so, the money is not the same as it was. Changes is a bitch and everyone kicks and screams the whole way, but it is here.

Correct.

Tony mentioned on the show that Mike felt comfortable with the set-up pretty much straight away. They are testing a couple of pipes and working on other sponsors and also still talking to other teams. Tony stressed that if they sign with a team they want good machinery if nothing else. If they can't get on a team with good machinery then they are happy with this current level of equipment and will work on sponsors for their own team.

He also mentioned that, after being on the couch almost all year, Jeff got on a 'beat' bike with bald tyres and was within 2 secs of Mike immediately. He said Jeff is keen to race at the moment but is unsure how long this focus on racing and training will last.

Jeff, if you're reading, please keep focussed!!! You are truly untapped potential on a dirt bike. I know we have not seen the best of Jeff Alessi yet...

tuf is also the sole distributor of UFO plastics i believe. Dave Antolak got the dealer/store back after previous buyer faulted on loan i believe. great guy, helped my rider out for years back in the 90s.

I know the money might not be there but i would like to see JS7 get in on this. He has great respect for this family and the passion they have for racing. Maybe they could bring in redbull for some more support seeing as they both have personal sponsor deals. JSE/Alessi Redbull racing. I like the sound of that.
