Alessi interview

Edited Date/Time 4/7/2015 9:45am
"I don't think I can win. I'm not at that level yet"
although that's true and you feel that way be confident and don't talk down yourself on tv.

It'd be awesome if he did win just for the resulting forum meltdown.

He probably doesn't really believe that....I think all these guys think they can win. He was humbled in the moment and was clearly fighting back tears. Good for him

I'm glad he was killing it. He had to redeem himself in his interview game

Honest response....He's riding a bike without any factory support and wins the heat race. Congrats to Alessi and good luck in the Main event.

Dudes that interview was heartbreaking I can't even lie. Idk if it's his dad, his am career, or something else entirely, but it's clear now that Mike could be top 5 or even podium guy if it weren't for these mental issues. You can see it in his riding. He could turn it up another notch or two, especially in the corners if he had the God given killer instinct guys like Roczen and Villo have.

Damn good race by Mike. Not his best interview. Still 1000% better than all the haters have done today.

Mike rode so good in that heat race, that interview was so wrong. He really needs to stop over-thinking this stuff. That was one of the times where you just says "ya for sure Ralph, I'm gonna go get em in the main."

Unfortunately around here He can't do anything right. People just love to pick him apart.

Great race for Mike, hope He has a good main event.

It was another case of realizing partway through you started a sentence that you shouldn't have. Is that it.

if he had of said yea I feel good I can win tonight , everyone would be all over it giving him crap . he rode great , good interview too

As much slack as he cops from internet people, he did just win a heat race against two factory Honda backed riders, and a factory back Yamaha rider by gapping them within the first handful of turns. So that deserves some respect. Also, didn't have a meltdown this time on live TV! Pretty good effort. Surprising too that he won since he's never been particularly good at Supercross.

He has serious confidence issues and that is why he falls back in the mains and just gives the positions away.

I believe he can win I don't know why he doesn't. I mean Mike Alessi is a freaking badass. He thinks Tomac and Rozcen are the elite but fuck man you been riding your whole life. You were a top amateur and a top 250 rider and you think they are the elite riders? You are Mike. You just need to believe it yourself.

He just needs to believe he can win. If he doesn't believe it then it won't happen. I honestly don't know why he doesn't believe he is at that level. I mean fuck he has been racing his whole life. Why is he not at the same level or above as the rest? I don't get it.

No kidding right. I mean he's got the talent. He has been racing his whole life. He was considered to be the top rider in the world coming in to the pro's and did great then he just fell off. It's just serious confidence issues. He has the talent, the bike and the experience. He just needs the confidence.

Come on Mike-fuck man. I am sitting on my couch knowing that you could win a main. You have the speed and you can get the holeshot. Don't let these other guys intimidate you. They are no better than you are. You are just as good. Quit beating yourself up. I don't know what is going on behind the scenes to make you feel like you are less than them. I mean fuck man Weston Peick got a freaking 4th place. If he can get 4th you can get 1st. You are just as good as Roczen, Tomac, and Reed. I promise you that you are Mike. You just need to realize it.

this ^^^
Then the weirdest interview ever. If he doesn't even believe he can run with them, he's got no chance when it's happening for real on the track.
