There's a guy on another forum that I visit that just shreds Aldon Baker. Says he brings zero to the table. Says he just latches onto guys who are already fast and at the top of their games anyway. Interesting theory.
I don't know that I have an opinion one way or the other. He does seem to get his guys lean and mean. Some say too lean. But you don't see RV and RC fading at the end of motos.
In all honesty, what do you guys think?

RC was struggling in the 250 class before Aldon got him into race shape - and from there, RC won a lot of races by wearing dudes out.
If you can't see the improvement in RV from the end of the 2010 season then I don't know what you'd be watching.
And clearly Kenny is riding with a lot of confidence.
Aldon brings alot of knowledge from the cycling world to give his riders an "edge"
The results speak for themselves.
The Shop
...."there are some, RV’s trainer included, who scrutinize everything that passes their lips and count every last calorie that gets consumed. You could argue that Aldon walks too fine a line between keeping his riders fit and pushing them into a continuous caloric deficit at the expense of their immune system and general well-being. You could… except for the avalanche of titles he’s won. Yes, Ryan will show up this Saturday with his cheeks sunken in like an Italian supermodel living on celery and cigarettes but he damn sure won’t get tired in the 20-lap main event"
Maybe Ryan didn't feel threatened by Ken, but it appears to me that Roczen has a lot of speed in the tank and he is still playing it smart. Ken Roczens skill set is perfectly suited to a 450. He looks to me like he is only riding about 85%.
Like I said, strange deal.
pretty smart if you ask me?
Unfortunately.....this sport and MX boards really are a magnet for people like this. Makes me sad to read some of the thing I see on here.
Aldon came along and corrected RV bad habits - thank god
Aldon isn't the god of fitness for mx'ers...he just picks guys who have an incredible desire to work hard...probably why he and James didn't work out, they have different philosophies...
aldon didn't make Rv any faster...right wrist...red hair...big balls...
Pit Row
he then finds the extra 5-10% percent it takes to bring them up to the pinnacle of the sport.
it's not remotely easy business.
