Been eyeballing an Aviator 2.2 for a while now, gonna pull the trigger soon. While shopping for the best deals online I came across www.airohhelmetsusa.com. They seem to be offering the 2.2 massively cheaper than anywhere else, and as far as I understood Airoh didn't have any US distributors. These two things seem kinda of odd to me so im here asking if anyone has the skinny on this site.

I wouldn't risk it, seems really suspicious, Can vouch for the helmet tho, worth every cent and I paid 500€ for it.

I do not believe that website is in any way affiliated with Airoh helmets. Smart move being cautious.

Buy it off of eBay. My buddy has bought two of them from there with zero issues. To my knowledge there are still no US distributors/retailers selling Airoh helmets, so they all come straight from Italy. Shipping doesn't take long. I think he got them within a week or so.

About a year ago I purchased a Airoh trials helmet from Motostorm out of Italy,I saved nearly $100 compared to what the Trials shops would do here in the states and that included the shipping,it took about three weeks to get it. Couldn't say what the discount is on MX helmets

I'm kinda interested in some newer tech, like 6D/MIPS/Multi layer, but I like the weight (lack of) and fit of my Airoh so much, a new one is still top of my list. I have no reason to think it isn't a very safe helmet.

how is their sizing compare to soumy?

The venting is the big thing for me. I sweat a ton and its mega hot here in Florida. Im sick of my helmet dripping on me, squeaking when i put it on and being wet for an entire weekend. I've done some research on the ECE certification and it seems legit. I agree MIPS is great tech but better venting is more important to me.

So how does one go about flagging this to keep someone less skeptical than me from getting ripped off?

Well, for starters...

The US Airoh rep has been notified.

I ripped a start from Egypt and I was happy about that.

STAY AWAY from www.airohhelmetsusa.com

I was ripped off $390. I ordered in haste as I was about to travel, the shipping notification from China raised alarm bells. I returned home to find a box of counterfeit designer shirts! The bastards

I wish I had researched various forums such as this!

Dammit

I purchased a helmet off there on Sunday.
It says on the site you will get emailed within 24hrs with a tracking number. When I didn’t I emailed them asking if it’s been shipped.

They replied quick on email but as I saw it’s wording I questioned it. Then came on here and saw this thread ....

Saying they are back in 2 weeks and having really bad grammar / sentencing is not what I wanted to read.

Going to contact my credit card company ...

How does the Airoh sizing compare to the Shoei VFX-W? If I wear a M in the shoei is it safe to say id wear a M in the Airoh?

Somebody should contact Airoh specifically to tell them about it, they are the only ones who can close that website

According to the size charts on both website you'd be a M in an Airoh as well.

Sweet, looks like they sent you a new prototype by mistake. Just slide the visor up and you're good to go.
