Air jets on motorcycles?

I'm kinda confused. From the article it says that if you're leaning over in a corner and the bike detects "slippage", an air jet deploys thrust opposite of your lean, but that seems like it would push your bike into the asphalt.

Anyway, kind of an interesting article about advancing technology.

Not sure how it works exactly, but I believe the bike detects "slippage" by comparing the lean angle of the bike via a gyro and also the front wheel to rear wheel alignment. When the bike "slips" (i.e front end washes out) a pressurized tank releases air opposite direction the front wheel is washing out in. So if your turning right and your front end washes out it will make your front tire go left, the tank would release on the left side, creating a force to push the bike back to the right. Pretty cool idea.

Last thing we need is more electronic aides. Wheelie control, traction control, abs, kickstand sensor.. hate them all.
