Diet?
Riding tip?
Setup?

What single piece of advice has someone offered that made you a better/faster rider? Curious what many of you have picked up over the years...

We're you using it less or more? Or just not at the right time?

Strait from Jason Anderson. I took a clinic with him the summer of 2011.

Being smooth through your turns, not making them multi point turns and constantly being on and off the clutch.

We spent more time working on turns that day then any other aspect of riding. Smooth turns.

Going slower into turns will make you faster. If your going wayyy too fast you have to slam the brakes as hard as you can so you slow down then have to go again and this off n on is bad for traction/momentum. If you go a little slower ino the turn you can carry more of that speed through it not making as many changes in speed of having to chop the corner in the middle and spinning. Basically the speed your at entering the corner should be the speed you want to carry through it. Dont have more speed at the entrance than you can carry through it.

The cornering/ft brake advice that was talked about above and

when riding deep ruts, look as far forward as possible.

And

Ride the bike with your legs, not arms (avoids arm pump)

*When complaining that others had faster bikes than me.*
"There are 20 something corners on a track and only a few straightaways. Work on your corner speed."

This is hands down the best peice of advice I’ve seen given. It’s 100% the correct technique to use yet you see the majority of riders at your local tracks not adopting this method and style

I’m a rookie so I’m loving the comments! Good stuff. It’s been a struggle for me to transition from sport quads to MX. Ruts and turns always looked easy on TV!

If you've got an area you can make a turn track do that and ride it over and over. And over. Along with the technique tips for these guys and videos, you'll be railing ruts in no time.

The wonderful world of the front brake and it's many uses and keeping your inside turn leg up high with the rad wing and toes slightly turned in, not pointing to the outside lazily.(thanks Jim)

When you think you should roll off the throttle. Wait 2 more seconds.

I just started riding again (cr250).. I’ve noticed on some corners (here at my house) I’ll use only front brake, some I’ll use both.. but always use front brake if I brake at all In said corner. I’ve ridden my whole life, but had a break for 4 years and just picked it up again, rode mtn bikes when I didn’t have a dirt bike. I feel like I use front brake much more now than before. How much do you use front brake when your riding moto?
