Sometimes I kid myself I’d buy a freight train if it was on sale. Anyway a while back while stuck at home during the Kung flu lock down I’d had a few beers one weekend and ran across a good deal/on sale for pair of SIDI X3, grey and white. On sale motoStormit in Italy.

Couple of weeks later the show up. Ordered size 11, typically wear 10 1/2, didn’t come in half size. They ended up to big and not much padding, felt like standing on a flat rock. Cost to much to ship back to Europe, so I bought some insoles off amazon for 12 bucks, stuck them in and made a big difference. Fit perfect amd no doubt added some cushion.

I googled and noticed quite after market few insoles for MX boots. MX boots don’t have to be the most comfortable, they are what they are but they don’t have to be uncomfortable either.

After thinking about it, maybe I should not get cracked off and look for shit to buy online!!!

Nice I have the same problem with Tech 7’s. I’m gonna order some insoles for sure 👍

I used work boot insoles to tighten up the fit on my Sidi ATOJO's. Worked awesome!

I bought Dr. Scholls also. They are called Extra Support. I didn't spend much time looking, they looked pretty good so I bought them.

I'd put some in my Garenes but they would be to tight. GX1's do not have much padding.

I had some shock doctor ones in an old pair that were awesome but they don't make them anymore. I really need to find a other set because my feet always hurt after riding.

I add and remove insoles to make the boots fit better. I like the gel dr scholes. Sometimes I put those ontop of the first insole for a tighter fit. All boots are different size and it’s hard to get the right one.

I've not run Sidi moto boots, but I've been using their mtb shoes since 95. They all came with paper thin uncomfortable insoles, so I think I swapped every pair out for more comfortable insoles.

Come to think of it, the insoles on my SG10s aren't anything to write home about. Maybe thin insoles is an Italian thing?

I used to do this all the time until boot manufacturers got the clue and started adding better foot bed padding. I used to tear out the insoles from old running shoes and run those.

I didn't think about taking them out of running shoes. Not a bad idea. Some of those insoles are 20-30 bucks or better.
