The amphitheatre at the top of the hill.
Looking down the hill at those three big steps.
And looking back up.
The steep downhill to sharp right along the road. I think someone doubled this at one point?
The pub (white a black building) where Hakan Calrqvist (sp?) stopped for a beer mid race in 1988.
I nearly missed Namur, as I only started riding in 2004, but I do remember watching the 2004 highlight DVD on repeat when I was 12 years old. Wandering about in Namur was super cool.
The Shop
There was always a half dozen riders parked in various sections during practice watching others approach... Decoster included.
percys farm....i think
latchingdon
Post a google map of brown City. Was my first year of racing and raced I believe there last race ever before it closed. it was one of Brian Swink last district 14 races before he won the Orlando Supercross to start out the 1991 season.
Finnish track that was closed in 2006 still visible in Google maps

If you use google earth Pro. the desktop version. You can see images from back intime. The 1980's tend to be the oldest and most often very fuzzy.
I like to hunt for local tracks and look at satellite and aerial images . I found some websites used by local government for doing tax assessments. They offer a website that people can access for free and see high quality images. I used it when I was searching for my current property. It shows wetlands, the elevations, etc. I'm in New England in the US. And that is where I have looked at these sites. But one is a US wide site. some of the basemaps go as far back as the 1930's. They have aerial photos they stich together. Its not as much coverage as newer images. But I was able to find old images of a track that is now a Walmart. the track was just a local track that had a small shop on the property at one point. A friend of mine's Dad owned it . I was blown away at all of the private tracks local to me.
One site is mapgeo . It come up if you do a google search for a town/city name state and include wetlands map at the end. This is a screen shot of an image of Southwick I grabbed from that website using the Spring 2022 Theme under the themes/aerial images tab. You can add on contour lines and another site has lidar mapping that shows details You would never see otherwise.
Pit Row
This is an example of the quality the images are from another site. They range from blurred and hard to see details. Tou being able to almost read a lic plate . This is from 1939 and the outline of what was a track across from a drive in movie place. It is now a walmart. The dashed line is in the same place in both images. the newer one is from google earth. Some of the airial images need to be downloaded and navigating is not as intuitive as Google earth. But you can find higher detailed images that cover a wider timeframe. Some areas will have some overlap in where they show. This happens to be a cumberland RI map. The area that You download basemap images will tell you what year range you can get for each area. And You download tiles. axisgis.com is the site I used for these images.
COOPERLAND...
Kenworthy's Troy, OH..
Kellogg MX in Minnesota. You can still see the outline of the track in grass..
Loved that place. I can still see kong and the woops before it.
Yup, the Dirty Dozen
This was Armstrong Mx track in IA, ran from 1992-2003. Some vital members raced here. Some pros like Gilmore and Brayton raced there when young.
This was Huthwaite between J28 and 29 of the M1 UK, can’t really see much of it now. Was a race track in the 90s. I remember how stressed my dad would get before we went because the paddock was sloppy wet grass and we would always get stuck, much to me and my sisters amusement!
I was also looking for Launde, this could be the outline but I always remember the long uphill being closer to the road. Had a love hate relationship with this place, like an ice rink in the wet but great natural terrrain.
To cheer everyone up. Here’s a track that was abandoned in 2015 . That had races since 1969 it has a natural amphitheater for the fans. The hills were covered with spectators. I was a member 1990 to the end. The track is now a Euro type of track with table tops , 1 hill has 4 floater jumps. The last 2 yrs I rode here Denmark Wi. Just outside of Green Bay. 200 bucks annual membership only closed Mondays. Pic is a rainy cold April day.
Hurts my heart. Rode there the last day they were ever open but it sucks. I only live about an hour and a half or so away now. I'd be there all the time if it was still there.
