Elsworth MX, U.K... This place was heaven, closed 3-4 years ago to be turned into a fishing lake, nothing yet, still left as it was on the last day riding there, track was there since the 70's I believe...
elsworths been there for a long time, used to be great from british champs and big events

Edit: I was bit late
Rumors has it was all about noise and dust. Mainly dust covering the small town which is located right behind the track, on top of the hill. But maybe there's something else I don't know.
Someone tried to put the track back to work somewhere around 2003, I think they run a couple local races only on part of the track and then the place was abandoned for the same old reasons, citizens were mad about the track.
I don't have pictures of the track as it was before 2003, but it was in worse conditions than on these images I posted.
Then two young guys put a new project together in 2012, they resumed the track (which is almost the same as the old one), built a restaurant (where that small house were, up on the hill), some sort of a bike park, an area for live events and an e-park where you can rent KTM electric mx and enduro bikes (you ride only part of the whole track).
First GP was held in 2013, those two guys still run the track and since then alot of races and various events were organized, they're doing a great job.
Had some awesome rides up there. Chris Scurfield was the guy who owned/ran it.
I also rode at and remember Jewels Hill & Stone Lodge. I remember Stone Lodge had to have the jumps built and flattened the same day as the meeting, because of illegal riding there. I don't miss Stone Lodge, still got the scar on my knuckles!
The Moree Family still owns the place and after the GNCC this past year, Hank went out and bought a bike again. He mentioned wanting to try to race it when we go back next year. The woods and grass track sections we laid out were a blast too. Easily became one of my top 3 favorite GNCC tracks in its first year.
Looks like someone took some footage here (although not when I raced):

The real crick was awesome. There is some footage here from 1994. Mainly featuring a mate of mine....I end up on the floor.

Pit Row
The other Crick track, and the most famous one, is now under DIRFT which is a rail freight terminal, so its all gone,
I heard the new track is 'uninspiring' .. my grandparents lived in the village for many years.
