I have a young in (almost 5) that will literally murder dad if I do nto take him down this year.

It is a loong day to gt there at 12:00 and got to the night show with him but I want him to see some of the bits possibly get an autograph (MA800 and Dungey are his favorites).

Anyone know when the autographs start rolling? As many times as I have been to the ATL SX I have never been before the night show.

They usually have those times posted outside their respective pits (for autographs). I have a 6 year old and I'm taking him to the night show first and see how he handles that. If he does good we will try the whole thing the next time with the full on understanding that I am not toting his ass anywhere and he will keep up. That's not to hard now as I'm banged up pretty good.

Pits usually open right as the 1st practice goes out should be around noon maybe 12:30. You might be able to get an autograph then, but the actual signings start around 3 and go til 6 if im not mistaken. There are usually a lot of dealer displays and replica bikes that kids can sit on and take pictures with. It will be like Christmas morning to him

The little man did fine at the Monster truck race and we got there about an hour early so I know he can do t night show. I want hit to go when he is still "amazed" by it all. I will let everyone know how it goes.

We have been taking him to the Monster Show for about 4 years straight. We didn't go this year due to me being f'ed up. But anyway we go way early for that but they put everything right there on the floor of the dome. Its a long ass walk to the pits in Atlanta thru all those slow ass walking people. It's a much different experience. I don't think the Monster Jam is a legitimate comparison between the two. But hey everyone knows their kid the best. Don't forget ear muff. But if you have been to a Monster Jam you know about ear protection. Good Luck!!!!

Sometimes the pits are right next to the dome and sometimes they are about a mile away (feels like it anyway). If they have it in the far away one, good luck.

That's a long day for a young kid. When I took my son the first time (he was six) I tried to streamline the day as much as possible, as in, we got there in time for opening ceremonies and left at the end of the night. I didn't do the pits with my son until he was like 8. The Atlanta pits are a bitch. Personally, I haven't been to the pits in six years, or so, too many freaking people. In the past few years, they've started limiting the number of people they'll allow in there, so it creates a Disney-esque' que line just to get in the pits. It ain't worth it.
