As of last night on the Pulp show it’s sounding like Aaron Plessinger will be moving up to 450s next year full time on factory Yamaha. If the title gets wrapped up this weekend at budds, do we see him on the 450 at Iron Man? I’d like to see it.

Not at Ironman but Yamaha is doing something right finally. With Cooper, Ferandis and Nichols to groom in the 250s, they need a franchise 450 guy. Barcia is a great rider but he isn't really a "Yamaha" guy

This is one of those posts where the title would be more appropriate with a question mark at the end.

Agreed, it looked like Webb was going to be that guy but clearly it hasn’t gone well.

Yeah it would be great for Yamaha to run that #1 next year but with all their 250 talent already signed I can see why it’s likely the let him move up to the big bike next year.

Hard to defend the title when he hasn't won it yet. Laughing

That said if/when he wins it, that would make 2 titles to defend in 2019 meaning moving up to the 450 in 2020.

He'll be on the 450 as soon as A1 and no later than outdoors next year.

I'm excited to see how he stacks up to the top 450 guys. But I don't think he moves to 450s at iron man since he's racing MXdN on a 250. He will continue to ride/train on a 250 til after MXdN I think.

That’s what it seemed like the last time he was on the show a few weeks back, but now it’s sounding like 450 for 19 full time alongside Barcia. So that got me thinking on him stepping up at Iron man. Win the championship in the last 250 race of your career, get your feet wet in the big class before this season is over. I could see him podiuming at iron man especially. Unlikely we see it I agree, but would be cool.

I agree that it's great that he'll be moving up but careers are short and for some it pays really well to stay in the 250 class and for others that's all they have on the table in terms of offers.

Making some money is better than paying out of pocket to ride.

Surely you can respect that.

No point to move up just for the one race considering he still has to race the 250 at MXdN.

Race your last 250 outdoor race, podium, make that bonus money, celebrate, race MXdN, celebrate some more, start testing the 450, race Monster Cup, test some more, come out swinging at A1.

I think we'll put Aaron on the 450 at The Monster Cup as part of our plan for World Domination!

Ap23 said he wanted to ride a 2 stroke at the last round. Not sure if can ride the yz 125 or not in a national ? Good for him on 450 next year. He deserves it for sure.

That would be awesome! It’s homoligated (sp?) so should be legal.

Funny thing is his team manager just so happens to have one he can ride as well.

If he moves up next year, that makes me more of a fan. Sick of these 25+ year olds milking the 250 class. Spare me the lectures. I know why they stay on 250s.

If AP rides a two stroke at Ironman he will have quickly become one of my favorite dudes. Even if he doesn’t ride a two stroke I suppose the same is true.

Such a seemingly charismatic person. I like him.
