Just curious if anyone is going out there or has been to their Saturday race. I will likely go and take my 1980 YZ250 and try not to crash. I haven't been there since 1993 and that was on the vintage track.

REM will be there for there end of the year bash. I believe there's an adult mini bike race also. Myra and Frank always put on a great race event. Typically out and headed to lunch by 2:30.

You’ll have fun, i usually park down by the starting gate, but if it’s your first time at rem, you might enjoy parking up top , close to where they sign up and have the riders meeting

Well, I actually doubt it cuz I hate sand....no, I mean I really, really, HATE sand, and anything that is even remotely like it, lol. Give me a rock hard, bone dry, blue groovre track anytime and I'm perfectly happy.

Thanks for the suggestions, bit I think I would enjoy parking next to the ambulance the most.

Screw the wind and just wear a jacket, and forget the clutch cuz you don't need it once you are rolling anyway.

I'm confident that it will be worth the drive for you just to watch me ride if you are up for a bit of amusement!

Yeah, follow REM updates as it might not happen. Wind is gonna be pretty bad. Bummed if it ends up too windy.

Thanks but where do I find updates? . It is supposed to be 72 degrees next saturday so if they don't race this Saturday, then hopefully all of you can go next Saturday.

Anyone know how to find out if they have cancelled this Saturdays race at Glen Helen?

I called and emailed and posted on REM's their facebook site but haven't gotten a reply. I live 40 miles away and it is sunny and 62 degrees here now with just a few light gusts of wind that aren't enough to bother anyone.

ok thanks, but from what i see here at my place, there isn't currently any reason to cancel it, so i guess i will just load my bike up and get ready and check facebook periodically.

if you find anything yourself please let me know as well. i just simply can't wait to go out there and fall over, lol.

Hasn't been any wind since around 6 last night just as i figured lol. I still can't find where they post the race cancellation notices. Can someone tell me exactly where they do this cuz it is not obvious on their facebook page.
